Sweden Democrats fourth largest party: poll

The anti-immigrant Sweden Democrats are now Sweden's fourth largest political party, while the Social Democrats continue to gain on the Moderates, according to a new poll.

Only three other political parties in Sweden registered a higher level of support, according to the poll.
While support for the Moderates remained unchanged at 33.4 percent, the Social Democrats saw their support climb by 1.3 percent to land at 31.7 percent.
Support for the Green Party, Sweden's third largest party, edged up 0.3 percent to 9.3 percent.
1,000 Swedes participated in the survey, answering the question "Which political party do you like best in national politics?"
The currently governing centre-right Alliance, consisting of the Moderate Party, the Christian Democrats, the Centre Party and the Liberal Party (Folkpartiet), still maintains a combined edge over the centre-left opposition consisting of the Social Democrats, the Green Party and the Left Party.
"But none of the blocks would get their own majority in the Riksdag if there was an election today, and the lead for the centre-right is only 2.8 percentage units," Skop analyst Birgitta Hultåker said in a statement.
The Left Party's support decreased by 1.8 percentage units in the latest poll, receiving only 4.3 percent of the vote.
"If it wasn't for the Left Party's decline, the opposition would be in the majority," says Hultåker.
After a slump in February and March, the new figures represent the third consecutive poll Skop showing growing numbers for the Sweden Democrats.

The Liberal Party (Folkpartiet): 5,4 percent, -0,6
The Centre Party: 5,5 percent, +1,2
The Christian Democrats: 3,8 percent, -0,2
The Social Democrats: 31,7 percent, +1,3
The Left Party: 4,3 percent, -1,8
The Green Party: 9,3 percent, +0,3
The Sweden Democrats: 6,5 percent, +0,6

These kids will not save sweden, they will destory it, their ideas are destructive and anti humanity. Trying to ride the anti-islam train will not go far.. people have come to understand this media bubble.
Maybe the writers should have identified the groups for those not familiar with Swedish politics.
The numbers increase as more voters are educated and informed of statistics, such as increased crime, decreasing social budget and loss of Svensk culture.
Quite frankly, Tourism is a vital part of any countries financial stakes. Most visitors come to Sweden to see Scandinavian culture, if the tourists chose to see, for example, mass muslim culture, they'd travel to islamic countries. Etc.
With 2012 just around the corner, it's not unrealistic to see Sverigedemokraterna in 3rd, or even 2nd place. This gives them more room for influence on immigration policy, which has been l o n g - overdue since 2001.
The current party and government including Swedish media outlets that seem to hide, or rather, 'Sweep-under-the-carpet', the truth of what's really happening because of uncontrolled, unscrutinized mass immigration.
I personally don't care which party works on changing the current immigration policy, but 'A' political party must address the issue at hand.
The mainstream parties are entirely unwilling or unable to listen to, or address people's concerns, and Swedes from all sides of the political spectrum are registering their unhappiness by siding increasingly with the SD's.
Until the Moderates and Social Democrats begin to listen to the electorate this dangerous trend will continue, and the SD's will gain even more influence on Swedish politics as their share of the vote steadily increases.
Folk Partiet discusses immigration and religious extremists groups (jihadis ect) but in a proper debate.

Whilst I don't particularly agree with Sweden Democrats (or the BNP in the UK) policies the issue does need to be discussed and debated and a response delivered by government. Avoiding the issue and avoiding talking to SD is not the answer. Inaction is also a decision.
I hear a lot of Swedes say they are ashamed that SD have won so much support and are in the coalition. Well I would say first of all it is democracy in action and secondly it is really unlikely that they will be the lead partner in forming a government. Even if they were the lead partner the international community squeeze them out. They did the same to an Austrian government about 10 years ago!
Logic is that over 90% Swedish voters reject anti-immigrant idiocy . That should be the news to worry fools like @TheOneWho Travels .

This is not about religion but about altered cultures and tradition to the detriment of those less advantaged!!
Moreover it states breach of terms. However, there is a law in Sweden called freedom of speech and is supposed to be one of the cornerstones in the Swedish society.
What kind of hypocrisy is this? The local can publish how the Swedish Monarch "potentially" went to some dubious places but not facts, which can be found in international newspapers - more credible than The Local.

You will see that your post do break the agreement that you made when joining. Oh, yeah - quoting Quran on discussion of a massive rise of dislike towards muslims is an excellent ideas. Especially when it is possible to quote a little less favourable quotes from the "noble Quran". Like about elimination of any other religion in the world through death or conversion and a total rule of Islam.... Or about allowance for slavery... or indirect allowance of pedophilia.... or murder of a female who is not submissive enough.
This book brings european RAGE upon you. Your religion is marching through lands turning them into gaveyards, suppressing the minorities, re-introducing torture and medieval punishment. Your religion is so "attractive" that it brings millions running from it into normal lands.
Your religion eliminates any chance for economical or personal development if it is not fed by tons upon tons of natural resources and even then it is hardly a "development". Your religion introduces Nazism by calling it "religion" and calling everyone else a Nazi. The success of SD is not based on dislike for colour or eye shape. It is not based on superiority of the humble swedes.
It is purely based on refusal to accept the sort of twisted "culture" that islam has to offer after it burned local cultures of the refugess into ashes. It is a mentality difference, but a difference that is coming from whatever your religion has to offer to every land that it set it's foot on, rather than a pure social difference.
The economy is fine. We're condemning Islam for the accompanying increase in violence, mysogyny, backwardness, hateful intolerance, stupidity and general all around lunacy that accompanies it everywhere it goes.

I'm no fan of religion in general, but you obviously don't understand some of the differences. Islam learned from Christianity's weaknesses and perfected the art of the crazy. Though both are ridiculous, Islam is more overtly hostile and intolerant in degree.

Those Assyrians are they muslims too? But Assyrians do practise Christianity. It is all a question of a secular society or non secular one.
There is an intergration problem. Immigration problem. Too many illegal refugees. But hate speech against groups is not healthy. That's what SD loses on this. Vulgar language is not a campaign to fish votes nor hate speech is.

It is interesting, half of the increase in support for the Sweden democrats in 2010 came from former Moderates and Social Democrats, (Source: Värnamo Nyheter) So, in 2006 they were good Swedes and 2010 they are a cancer? Where will the increase in support come from in 2014? When 15% of the Swedish population, votes Sweden Democrat, does that mean that they were bigots all along? No, it means that Swedes are waking up to the real, feet on the ground problem, of refugees who refuse to integrate into Swedish society.
Listnen , when haters in France voted for a racist party , nothing much on the ground happened .They have nothing to show for it .
I dare say that since the SD devils joined parliament , the other parties have re-acted by adapting even more liberal immigration policies . I understand that today , those immigrants without pappers can get medical attention and their children can go to School .
Be informed that not all immigrants are refugees .
The problem with SD is that the rest of 94% of Swedes are not just nuetral to SD views. Those 94% of Swedes are extremely against SD's views.
It's the second derivative you should be worried about.
6.5% is temporary. The trajectory is not.
