Juholt promises 21 concrete points of reform

Social Democratic leader Håkan Juholt is promising that his speech in Almedalen on Friday evening will unveil no fewer than 21 concrete points on labour and employment reforms.

"We need the Swedish labour market to be neat and tidy," said Juholt to news agency TT.
Referring to an investigation made by a union within the hospitality industry, he claims organised wage dumping is widespread among companies who hire labour migrants from outside the European Union.
The investigation encompasses 54 contracts that the Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) has signed with companies who want permission to hire manpower from outside the EU.
In all of these cases another contract, with a lower salary, was later signed with the immigrated employee.
Juholt now wants to assign the Migration Board the task of going through all these contracts.
"If the contracts aren't valid, the companies should be heavily fined. This is an organised wage dumping that the government is just allowing to happen," said Juholt.
Apart from terms of employment, his speech will touch upon both work environment and labour politics. For instance, Juholt wants to see an investment in work environment research.
"We have to move away from the type of work that burns people out," said the Social Democratic head.
Medical research is also something that Juholt wants to put money into.
"A national drive that might put Sweden back at the forefront of medical research," Juholt said.

Juholt should shave his moustache off because it makes him look like Stalin even though it is not quite the same. Wonder if he is still shacking up w/ the thief? Mja, Mja
I agree, he does look a lot like Stalin, especially from close up. Some of his ideas have a waft of Stalin about them as well. Wait for him to start addressing people as "comrades" or "citizens".
