Which is good?
Sorry mate...Eqaul is the side which goes to soverign countries (read Iraq, Afganisthan, Pakistan, and what not) and kill innocent women and cildren in the name of "war on terror".. One side performs vigilante terrorism, another one does state terrorism.. No difference to me on both sides...
Great profound logic AbangBeruang, but not quite as intellegent as a sack of hair.
We'll see how many tears you shed for those "innocent women" after the west pulls out of Afghanistan leaving Taliban to resume their reign of terror.
An Atheist Iranian
I may not agree with your sentiments exactly, but I certainly agree that the US should not have involved itself in Afghanistan or Iraq. Thousands of lives lost and disrupted and trillions of dollars spent in Afghanistan and within months of the US troops leaving, it will revert back to what it always was.
In Iraq, we got rid of Hussein, but did we find any WMDs? And once (if ever) the US leaves Iraq, will the democracy stand? Are the people of Iraq greatful for the US "help"?
Far better (and cheaper) to beef up security at home and to invest in infrastructure and technologies that reduce dependance on oil.
The US should have got involved in Afganistan? Between them and Pakistan they were giving protection and hiding to Bin Laden, you know, the one declaring war on the US and killing thousands. So because he is in this region it is okay and we should just leave him alone. Not to mention all the attacks since the 80's and continuing today. Thats all okay with you?
BTW, Iraq is now negotiating for the US to stay there permanently.
Am I ok with terrorist attacks? Absolutely not. Was I all gung-ho for action immediatetly after 9-11? Sure I was, who wasn't? But now looking back, I wonder if it was the best course. Now I see an economy in distress, incredible debt, crumbling infrastructure on the home front and an intense hatred directed toward America and Americans from the rest of the world. I see our brave young men and women coming back home in body bags.
I can't help but thinking that we should have taken a different path.
usa is at fault for alot of the terrorist groups they trained and now fight against.
eventually well see people negociating with taliban and with muslim brotherhood.
and people dont realise that all these groups are not just idiot terrorists. but are terrorist and right wing extremists with a huge political agenda.
they trained them because they need some reasons to attack nationalities and seize their properties.
I wish countries like Sweden would have remained neutral in all of these so we are assured that there's always someone to talk some sense into those warring idiots but thats not going to happen now is it?
next time a terrorist strikes in sweden maybe one of your family members are one of the victims. luckily last time no one was hurt.
the terrorists have explicitly said they will attack sweden unless it withdraws from afghanistan. now sweden has a non combatant role, albeit attacked, and its presence safeguard peace.
Iranian passengers are already suffering from all European airlines sanctions not providing fuel for IranAir airplanes! Stop these stupid and blind sanctions!
Reporter: Why would you block Iranian from training? I believe that All humans are not thinking the same so Why you label all of them?
Sweden: O Ya, We know bla bla but what should we do, because US said so.
But I suppose this is just a token gesture on the surface, while under the table business is blooming as usual between Scandinavia and the axis of evil.
Right you are HAGRID the Swedes are indeed hypocrites!
The Taliban invited Al Qaeda to Afghanistan and gave them supplies to train for terrorist attacks against the US. I suppose they considered that a nice way to show their appreciation after the US gave them training and weapons to drive out the Soviet Union.
After the 9/11 attacks, the Taliban government of Afghanistan was given an ultimatum: Stop helping the people who carried out the attacks and turn them over for prosecution. When they refused, the United States (quite unreasonably according to some) decided to fight back against the people who attacked them. Since the Taliban helped carry out the attack, they were a legitimate military target.
Now we hear about all the women and children getting killed, but nobody ever considers the alternative.
The women and children that you talk about are "collateral damage". That means they were standing next to somebody that the US was trying to kill. The US tries to minimize collateral damage, but it is impossible to do it perfectly, especially when the enemies do their best to make sure that there are always women and children nearby.
If you don't like drones and smart bombs, there is an alternative: Before drones and smart bombs were invented, you would ensure that you killed the guys you were after by a technique called "carpet bombing". You send a hundred airplanes to drop a thousand bombs on the city where the bad guys are. Since they are "dumb bombs" you aren't really sure where they will land, but since there are so many, you can be sure you hit somebody important.
You can also be sure that you will kill a LOT more women and children, because they don't have to be in the same BUILDING as the target -- they only have to be in the same CITY.
So, complain all you want about women and children, but consider the alternatives: should the US do nothing, so you can cry about how many US women and children are killed? If you lived in the US, would you want that? And if you could make it harder for people to kill your neighbors, would you?
Like the Taliban, IRAN (Persia) is helping people who want to kill people in the US. The US government does not like this, and wants to prevent it. So, they are saying to the government of Iran "We will not help you do _anything_". One of those things is "We will not teach your people to fly airplanes".
Is that such a bad thing? What should the US do? Wait for the terrorists to kill more people in the US? In fact, maybe Iran will be able to support terrorist attacks and US people will be killed anyway.
Maybe the US should go to war with Iran now. Why do you suppose they aren't doing that?
how you understood I'm living in 12th century, not 11th or 13th?
