I guess the next election will tell for sure...
oh! what a story!
or it just happens that you are another desperate promoter for SD!?
Surveys have a confidence interval, which usually is pretty high. They are not 100% accurate, but maybe 95%. This means that maybe SD has lost 2.2% instead of 2.4%, but it is also possible that they have lost 2.6%.
Therefore, the headline associated with the article, "Voters desert the Sweden Democrats," is intellectually dishonest and wildly exaggerated. Simply wishful thinking by Sverigedemokraterna opponents.
Helveeta is correct hat the next election in 2014 will be the true test. And I think we all know the SD will pick up additional numbers.
I think the reality is that the SD probably are at the same level of support as at the last election. The reality is they will only gain significant numbers if there is (God forbid) a serious terrorist incident or high profile criminal case involving immigrants. (Or serious breakdown in Law and Order in say Malmo-race/religious riots?)
Whilst the economy remains strong people will still stay with the status quo, the current government will remain fairly popular if they don't say or do something mad (doubtful). The opposition won't make any headway since there are not enough 'negatives' for them to jump on. I think we are most likely to see a loosening of the bond of the Alliance parties and the Greens may well come into that picture. There is no real identity left for the Center/KD parties with the strength of the Moderates.Sweden may possibly see a Moderate/Green based coalition next time round
Anyways, regarding this "survey" it's 100% propaganda I am convinced. The timing is also in line with my theory.
BTW, I do support SD. I think immigration needs to be halted since SO many have come in the last 10 years and this country really needs some sorting out before more should come. At SFI, some people in my class have lived in Sweden for 8 years and didn't speak any Swedish. Obviously, they lived here without a job all that time as well. Not good for the country!
In America, the Republican party is against immigration and no one says that's racist. Because it has NOTHING to do with race. If there were millions of white Canadians living in Sweden sucking the system and not learning the language, SD would still be saying halt immigration. Some people have chips on their shoulder that's not Sweden's fault.
Perhaps you meant "too."
however if the alliance (and the redgreen) does something about it which they have then SD will most likely stay at the same levels.
on a personal note the immigration policy in sweden sux. a close friend has recently married a british national and she has to wait up to 9 months for her residence permit. in the meantime she cannot leave sweden or she will be deported upon return ..........this is the law.
EU passport holders are placed in the same line as the rest of the world so what is the F point in having EU in the first place in this country - free movement of people NOT
Check the average voting for SD instead.
Also in that poll 3 other parties (V, KD, C) are below the 4% for parliament, should that not be the bigger news?
No doubt - Canadians to a very good job at integrating immigrants. For that - we deserve accodlaides.
THE DIRT SECRET:
The only way to really make mass immigration work - is to give up all of your customers. No more Christmas (it's a cultural festival, not just religious), possible no more Swedish language (you think that's crazy - it's not - in 2 generations you could all be speaking English as a first language).
In Nice, France, the street signs are written both in French and Nicoise (the old ones) - but nobody speaks Nicoise anymore. It's gone.
In only 2 generations, there will be no more Sweden if you are not careful.
This is something that happens over time, so it's not noticeable. What you think of as 'Swedish' will be diluted, so that you're children's generation think less of it - and don't care as much. Your grandchildren who will speak English better than Swedish won't really care that much.
Ethnicity plays a strong role in this. Those of you who consider yourself' 'Swedish' now - your grandchildren will more likely speak Swedish at home of course. But a Somalian Muslim immigrant? Why should they care? They will speak English first.
We don't have a linguistic problem in Toronto, but we have basically no culture left - over 1/2 the population is foreign.
In Montreal - they have a huge problem - immigrants don't want to speak French, they want to speak English. And a new immigrant from Somali will take your government to court and eventually win the right to have instruction in his language of choice - English.
The language is just one example - everything else will follow.
Look around Swedes - you are the last.
i think your point is full of fallacies even they have little truth in them.people cannot be forced to change.when i moved here.i didn't learn Swedish in my first year because i taught i would just go back home.early in my second year i changed my mind, started learning never been to SFI before, learn Swedish from friends,tv.newspapers everything possible.its bad when people think they know it all.
Let's kick the bigots and racists out of the Riksdag.
