To all those who cannot differentiate between real Indian and Bangladeshi food heres a tip(Pun intended!): Whenever the menu reads "Polok Poneer" it is Bangla food. Cause no Indian or Pakistani says it with an "O" sound.
Indian food is very versatile. Pakistani and North Indian food does not have much difference. The dishes are same so are the cultures.
Bangladeshi and Indian Bengali(Calcutta region) food is almost the same.
So all the food comes under the common umbrella of Indian food.
I am shocked to see Shanti as best Indian food. Well, last time i tasted chicken in Shanti, it was sweet enough to go as desert.
The place is nice, cool and all that but it is a bit overrated! The prices are not reasonable (compared to other sushi places) and their service is not fast at all! Their sushi is good, yes, but definitely not the best in town! Their plates are wrapped and styled very colorful and fancy as the tattoos of the people working there, that's it!
Big oversight I think. It's got a huge following here in the states. I probably have it as much as I do Italian. It's simple food and cheap to fix.
Something about those molten rivers of cheese really flip my trigger. And salsa. I LOVE salsa. Never mind the chips, just bring me a straw.
The vikings traveled far and wide. I think they were searching for somebody that could cook. :)
