Family finds strange man in the shower

A family in western Sweden investigating which of them was taking an unusually long shower on Sunday morning was surprised to find to an unexpected guest in the bathroom.

When family members living in the townhouse in the Gothenburg suburb of Hisingen awoke on Sunday morning, the shower was already running, the local Göteborgs-Posten (GP) newspaper reported.

However, as it was common for at least one member of the family to shower in the morning, no one took much notice at first.

But after the shower had been running for several hours, family members decided to investigate who among them may have felt the need for an extended scrubbing.

Much to their shock, they discovered a shoeless young man who was otherwise fully clothed, dripping wet in the shower stall.

“I needed to wake up,” the man said, according to GP.

Under questioning from the family, the man was unable to explain how he had made his way into the family's home, which showed no signs of having been broken into or otherwise damaged by the showering stranger.

“He was mostly likely under the influence of something. But he wasn't threatening or unpleasant in any way, almost the opposite,” police spokesperson Stefan Gustafsson told the newspaper.

The astonished family has opted not to report the incident to police, who nevertheless did their part to help the escort the apparently harmless bathing bandit on his way.

Amusing story, However, That's why you need to get a huge dog who's ready to bite any outsider goon who enters your home. At least this time, the stranger was in the shower, next time he'll be in.....

Why did they wait 2 hours? Who are these people? :)
12:01 August 1, 2011 by johnny1939
I would have been concerned after 10 mins since I am cheap and do not like waste of water and other resources.
12:01 August 1, 2011 by Tennin
I agree two hours is way too long to wait to figure who was in the shower.

In spite of being caught, he seems to have made a clean get-away...

I honour the family for taking a calm and rational approach to removing the tresspasser and not involving the police. This shows some respect of others that the family could handle it. I like to see a news that is not bloodshed and violent.

I have known of this type of thing happening with stroke victims, or victims of head injury. Glad the policy in Sweden is not to shoot first and ask questions later like my country.
13:25 August 1, 2011 by matona1
the question goes to their doughter ,no broken door or window maybe broken condom if properly searched

An inside job perhaps?
16:27 August 1, 2011 by J. L. Belmar
An inside job? Inside the house or the daughter? A case for Tom Barnaby or Lindley, perhaps.
17:38 August 1, 2011 by valiantvimal
Looks like a very big family, unable to know which family member is inside it and took 2 hours to know it is not a family member !!!
17:55 August 1, 2011 by Lemon1987
@McChatter

Hmm.. Not bad suggestion. Otherwise how could he appear in the shower out of blue ?? :D And what about the daughter ? did she have morning shower or not ?!!!!
19:53 August 1, 2011 by J. L. Belmar
@Lemon1987

The family is the one who appeared in the house out of the blue. They waited two hours to see if the stranger could rub their backs in the very same way it appears he did to the daughter who, under my viewpoint, is playing the Swede.. Now, let us change the page and let us go to another of the big news The Local is used to publish.

Evidence that Swedish people are overly fresh , neat and clean.
02:15 August 2, 2011 by Rishonim
Lest hope the family handed the young man a towel and a change of dry clothes.
06:37 August 2, 2011 by J. L. Belmar
I would certainly like to meet the strange daughter that did not have the faintrest idea or pretended she did not have it, of what was going on. It might have been just clean and safe sex with the family's consent, until they needed the shower. And now, it is time for The Local to take a shower and print more interesting news, it does not matter if they are not wo clean. We need some dirt around here.
09:18 August 2, 2011 by Da Goat
They should have just shut off the hot water and he would have come clean immediately, two hours is a huge waste of heating !

maybe turning the cold tap on full blast would have got him out faster!

yeah the daughter must be pretty ugly if one has to shower for that long afterwards! ROFL

"Sweden is a veritable smorgåsbord for UK business. I see our work as a bit like a kind of dragon’s den for both for larger and smaller British companies. It is about matching the UK companies, not with cash, but with Swedish market opportunities." READ »
