Well known? I dont think most people in Stockholm have heard of this guy before and that he wouldn't be recognized at all. I think that most people know that Fredrik Reinfeldt has got some kids but their names or what they look like people usually dont know, I think. He is not a celebrity.
Otherwise I completely agree that it's a good thing that he gets a regular job and learns the hard way how money is earned instead of his parents handing him everything on a silver platter. And if he does end up in politics has by then realized that having the government bleed your income dry with tax, isn't all that much fun.
And Mr. Reinfeldt should be commended. He must have brought his son up right. He obviously did not develop the usual spirit of "entitlement" that is nourished in so many young people today. Inititive, action, drive... this boy will not stay flipping burgers for long, he will go far. Great job.
Would your boss tell you that you are asking for 'special treament' if you complained when some Pirate Bay teenager hacked into your computer and stole your work ideas and gave these to the world for free, reducing your and your employer's salary to 20% of what it should be?
With this type of marketing of The Local, even Mona Sahlin belongs to the Swedish High Society, and why not Gudrun Shyman, well known in Stockholm Society for not knowing that the floor of a movie house was not the toilet?
Making your question "What would I think if someone where to make a replica of the retail product the company I work for produces and then uses his own resources to freely distribute those replicas to everyone that asks for it? Having no assurance that the people who ask for it would have otherwise payed me for the product and therefor would have never heard of it or ignored it."
In which case I'm pretty sure our top management would sit down and find new and inventive ways to compete with that. Finding different models to earn money as clearly producing a product that anyone with minimal resources can duplicate and distribute in unlimited quantities doesn't sustain a business model. For one we would listen to the potential customers and listen to their wishes. (Which in the case of copyright related matters generally translate to, no DRM, no commercials, no pay-per-item but instead people want access to a media library with unlimited access for a flatfee. Hence the popularity of services like Spotify and Netflix.)
The whole idea was to show that Fredrik Reinfeldt's family are normal, which they are certainly not.
You are completely right that it would have been better if it had been done anonymously.
Bragging because he is working at Macdonalds? What an honour.
I am quite sure he is not taking a job from "some kid who needs the money. The ones who need the money often think themselves superior to work at McDo.
Service industry businesses in Stockholm tell me that they can't get anyone young willing to take an entry level job. They all want to "do something with computers," or be writers or artists or….anything but a real job.
Good for Reinfeldt. He could be a role model for the royal brats.
Give me a break. You really are top this time. So, for you and for the Service industry businesses in Stockholm who "told you" (which ones?) that youngsters do want to do anything, computers, being a writer, being an artist, anything but a real job?
So @cogito, let me tell you that any type of job is a real job, whether you are a singer, a writer, a cleaner, a teacher, a whatever you might think of is a real job.
Your friends at the industry businesses are a bunch of arrogants by thinking that only working for them can be considered to be a real job. Tell them in my name to go and fly a kite. And be careful with your comments, because you might be the next one in flying a kite.
I'll have the fish sandwich, hold the tartar!
Software or music theft and re-distribution is essentially free, and uses minimal resources including other people's software, so the thieves and redistributors in 99.9% of the cases do not deserve credit for 'using their own resources' to distribute stolen copies. And to the small number of hackers who do use their own resources and ingenuity, to me this is similar to someone who uses ingenuity to break into a bank. He is not a hero either, at least not to most people. Taking candy from a baby also requires minimal resources, but this does not make it okay.
As for never having heard of one's product, I am not convinced that stolen music files are the way that majority of people learn about new music, but even if this was the case, it does not justify theft. If you had never heard about a Ferrari when a stolen one was given to you, you would not be innocent in accepting this stolen item (but maybe okay to take it for a test drive before you buy your own).
As for traditional real world retail items, rather than software, trademarks and brands also have legal protection, and so one does not have to rely exclusively on a need by management to walk away from years of hard work to re-invent their product lines or brands every few months to stay ahead of counterfeiting.
Agree that Spotify and Netflix are great. I do not see Pirate Bay as a group of who promoted the Spotify model themselves, rather just a bunch of immature teenagers (morally, if not biologically) who are parasites and who want everything for free.
Your comment has nothing to do with the story we are beginning to discuss here, but just for your information, SAAB is not a Swedish company, so why in the hell must we the taxpayers put it back in its feet? Again, SAAB is not a Swedish company. Correct me if wrong.
Yes you are wrong.
SAAB cars is a Swedish company as is SAAB Aerospace. No longer together As SAAB but still both Swedish.
But then you never bother to check facts or think coherently before you hit the keyboard. Just write a load of B*llsh*t
Sometimes you are more or less clever, but if you do not read properly, you will never make it, sonny.I clearly wrote "correct me if I am wrong", because I was not sure of what I wrote. Some information says clearly that Saab autos are no longer Swedish autos, but Saab planes yes. In spite of your "correction", I believe you are wrong. Prove the opposite with facts and then we can change the page.
Now, as far as your insults, they are becoming a nasty habit. I know personally some of the posters and believe me, they are tired of your insults, but to keep you happy, let me tell you that I could never write a load of B*llsh*, because I am not your brother; ergo your forking mother is not mine.
Be my guest
Three unemployed acquaintances (25, 28 and 33) sneer at burger flippers, but they, like their friends, are more than willing to grab whatever handout the state doles out. Another, over 40, has been harboring vague dreams of "doing something with computers" for ten years, while his wife brings home the bacon.
Two of my neighborhood bakeries are open but sometimes have no bread. They tell me they cannot find people willing to bake or to sell.
Less anecdotal: Professional students, many of them middle-aged, waste years on a worthless education at, e.g., journalism school or theater school, after which they will join the hordes of unemployed journalists and actors.
In hard times of sky-high unemployment, we need bread not circus.
If you are talking about the sloths who disparage people who work at unglamorous jobs, write it so and avoid me and others the really hard work to interpret your comments. I am sick and tired of that, not with you, cogito, but with some thousands of thousands who believe that me and others are in the obligation to read their minds.
There is no shame in working in what you choose or in what you might get. In this times, having a job is a bless of God, not of the governments. Just look at what is happening in the USA and in many other countries. Just look. Sorry, just read.
"Now, as far as your insults, they are becoming a nasty habit. I know personally some of the posters and believe me, they are tired of your insults,"
Insults? try the TRUTH. and as far as insults go you take the first prize with this one
"When I open my brains is for saying something wise, witty, intelligent, clever, shrewd or sharp. When you open your big fat mouth, the product is simply a vomit.
Are you happy with your life? Error. Are you happy with your vomits?"
When you open your brain?
From the rubbish that you vomit out You either have no brain or it is so small that it can not be found to be 'opened'
No comments. The ones I made were deleted by The Local. You must be one of them. Keep on with your vomiting issues. You are a master.
Clearly you are not an F.O.M. (Friend of Moderator).
FOM is never deleted--no matter how ville the comments.
No cogito. I never thought about being a F.O.M).
Good advice. Any tips on hand? Just for if the flies, you know.
1.Never criticize anything Swedish.
2. When Sweden's flaws can no longer be denied, always say it is worse everywhere else--but specially in the U.S.
3. Never disagree with Rick M. He runs to Moderator to have posters he dislikes censored or banned.
4. But first and foremost, to be Friend of Moderator, you must be British.
My dear J.L., Forget it. you haven't got a chance.
Common, give me a break!
I could never be British. I thought that by being a Mexican was good enough. Wrong. According to TL I must be a "vitskalle".
Good for you. I am traveling to beautiful London in ten days. I will eat hamburgers at the McDonalds located right under the Windsor Castle, you know, under the Queen's window. I have been there before. Wish me luck. They make better junk food than in lovely Sweden.
On the other hand, I fully agree with you, except on the part that you say I should never disagree with Rick Tracy. He is too much of a looser.

@J.L Belmar.
"(Puffin)" she is also a board moderator so be careful how you behave or you just might get banned."
Rick misses the good old days in Sweden when, looking to East Germany as a role model, people reported neighbors and even family to the authorities.
PM Reinfeldt should be ashamed. His Gustav has more comments at TL than he could ever dreamed of having. I wonder if it is because selling hamburgers is more believable than PM promises? Who knows. Your nose?
Now, let us wait for Rick Tracy's slants.
