Swede charged for 'shooting down UFOs'

Published: 1 Sep 11 10:46 CET | Print version
Online: http://www.thelocal.se/35894/20110901/

A 23-year-old man from Dalarna in central Sweden who thought he was being attacked by aliens from outer space has been charged for firing several live rounds from his apartment window.

On the evening of July 15th, the man thought he saw UFOs outside his apartment in Hedemora.

To protect himself from the attackers from outer space, he picked up a pistol and fired several shots.

When the 23-year-old began shooting, the mother of his child, also in the apartment, called the police.

Even so, it took several hours of convincing as well as one last shot against the aliens before the man gave up his fight against the alleged attackers, local newspaper Dala-Demokraten reported.

No one was injured in the shooting, but due to the risk posed from the man having fired live rounds the man has now been charged with illegal weapon possession and threatening a police officer, wrote the newspaper.

Despite the charges, the police didn't feel threatened by the man, according to their own report.

"We do not believe that the threats voiced were anything other than the desperation of a confused person," wrote the police in a memorandum, also concluding that two shots were fired through the apartment window.

According to the 23-year-old, he fired several more shots, that hit and destroyed the UFOs that had come to kidnap him.

He said that the unidentified objects exploded when hit.

The man may have been suffering from a severe psychiatric disturbance at the time of the shooting, according to the psychiatrist who evaluated him.

The 23-year-old has previously been convicted of attempted manslaughter.

What nobody understood is that the wife is an UFO. With that type of wife, the man do not need enemies and should have left the house inmediately in one of the UFOS.

Was it really the police who arrested him? Or was he taken away by "people" dressed as police for an orifice examination?

Poor guy, shooting at the only beings who could potentially become friends to him in the cold, unforgiving and lifeless place called Sweden ...
01:13 September 2, 2011 by Luke R D
What if he did see UFOs? Anything's possible, man, though I tend to agree with EP - the real crime is shooting at entities that may have been here to help.

The UFO was making an emergency landing to release a stowaway mouse that was found on-board ...

He should have come to Stockholm to shoot down UFOs at the Parliament. There are plenty to choose from.
09:13 September 2, 2011 by RobinHood
Why is this man going through a criminal prosecution? A man who shoots exploding UFO's out of his window is clearly very very ill and should be under the care and protection of his doctors, not the thrown to the police, courts and prison who, as far as I am aware, are unqualified to treat psychiatric illness

This story is fake. Few people understand UFO. I am Norwegian and I uderstand it more than most people because I was a member of a ufo club in Switzerland. Here is the thing. You can not shoot down a ufo, or beamship, as I prefer to call it if its real with a lead bullet. The kinetic energy from the bullet will be absorbed by the beamship's energy field which also acts as a shield. The energy shield will then in fact be strengthened after having soaked up the energy from the bullet. I have written more the case in Switzerland on my website Meiersaken.info
11:53 September 2, 2011 by Tysknaden
@bergheim12: UFOs do have a fatal tendency to overload - in case the K inetic L inear I nfusion T umbling O verhead R ift I on S hredder is suffering from Warpinterprolofication. This Warpinterprolofication becomes easily triggered by Romulan ale. I was a member of an ufo crew in Germany. Germany is rich in ufo's. In fact, the German Cancellor is extraterrestrian: The Merkel.

@ Tysknaden

It is spelled with a "C" not a "K"- A bit juvenile, Tsk Tsk.Tsk.

Used the German version. Accident :-(

It did not mean I don't like clitorises.
22:39 September 2, 2011 by J. L. Belmar
No way, Tysknaden. The Merkel is not an UFO. It is said that she is only the daughter of the little moustache a la Chaplin. Now you have a homework to do.
02:23 September 3, 2011 by Tysknaden
No. No way! She is definitely not the daughter of the guy, who was accused by Chaplin of having stolen his beard. She is not anyone's daughter at all. She has been built at a warft near Orion.

@Bergheim12

I know about the Billy Meier UFO thing from the 70s but

again where is the hard evidence? The only thing that

he claims as hard proof are is unknown metals of some

sort. The guy in the article suffers from schizophrenia.

He needs medication.
09:53 September 3, 2011 by Tysknaden
There are more possible explanations for this guy's behavior, than only schizophrenia...

His crazy action can be caused by: a brain tumor, by drugs, by SD membership, by Swedish popmusic, by ahmadinedjadismia - or he is an Sirian terrorist...

Only a few possible explanations.

Nobody is amazed at the fact that he just happened to have a gun at hand?
09:55 September 4, 2011 by tennent
Scientologist, no doubt.
05:39 September 5, 2011 by schmuck281
His actions sound reasonable to me. Anyone being attacked by UFOs should have the right of self-defense.
17:27 September 6, 2011 by bramblebush
Is there an NRA organization here that can argue for this man's rights to own a gun while he is bonkers?
14:15 September 7, 2011 by rohermoker
And I thought it was easy to get a gun in the US, well at least he did get the UFO
14:23 September 8, 2011 by jimfromcanada
The man has previously been convicted of manslaughter and yet he has a handgun. There is something wrong with this picture.
