"BANG!!!! BANG!!!! BANG!!! In the midst of the Stanley Cup’s Eastern Conference semifinals series, every Bostonian knows it is all about Bruins ice hockey. Oh right. I am in Sweden, home of the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation GOLD Champions. And there is certainly no doubt ice hockey fever has taken over Sweden. A lot of Swedes,..." READ »

:-) But I also was not born yesterday, and in many cases and in most countries, the political anthem when in an unfortunate position is..."Deny, Deny, Deny."
An SD politician was not arrested this weekend. Heinric Goebelsson said yesteday "I'm ashamed. I had a quiet Saturday night at home with the wife, and walked the dog on Sunday morning. I was neither drunk nor involved in a fight with anybody. SD spokesman said "Heinric has been suspended, his behavior does not reflect the SD party or its values".
Normally a bouncer can do more or less what he wants since whoever they beat up tend to be drunk and no neutral or sober witnesses are around. So, the sober bouncers always have their way in court.
Obviously the local will be mum when the ruling comes that exonerates Almqvist in 6 months to a year or however slow the courtsystem operates.
No doubt these thugs attacked him. Happens every night. He just happens to be famous and gets a shot to fight back.
Everything else is word against word, but if he had been innocent and received a beating then his security staff would have taken him to the hospital if necessary and home if not.
It is explained in Almqvists statement by the bouncers being "tjänstemän". Bouncers have policemans authority (if they have a black badge which says "ordningsvakt") within a restricted area.
My guess is that if a person with such authority makes a report then a police followup is inevitable. Since almqvist is a politician, he can hardly ignore rules and regulations and due proceduure? If you aim to make law, a first step is to follow it?
"Almqvist pushed one of the guards and then punched the guard in the face."
"...then allegedly dealt out several blows to the bouncer".
Really?! So does anybody think the Säpo agents just stood back and let this happen? Not likely.
I really don't believe for a second that a Sweden Demokrat member of parliament would be stupid enough to start a fight.
Knowing full well the media is on a Sweden Demokrat witch hunt, he is aware it would be all over the media.
Well, I guess the incident s all over the media anyway. But when the truth comes out and he is aquitted (found innocent) I doubt it will be in the media at all.
While I'm sure that there are two stories to this one as well, there is no doubt that EA is an MP that has been in a scuffle or two and that he is engaged in assaulting someone who is clearly in retreat.
The video is from last year. While EA was not an MP at the time, he was a senior member of SD in an election year.
and the security here Stockholm... the "bouncer" ( a term that shouldn't be used any more unless u run a slaughter house rather than a respectible venue) I personaly haven't had any issues with guards... but then i haven't been a tool!
Because the violent left attack SD systematically. Just last week stones were thrown through a window on one parliamentarian and arson was comitted against another (with her four year kid in the house).
This has the support of the primeminister. I think the idea is to keep the violence and harassement at such a level as to discourage people to represent SD but avoid actually killing anyone. Even if it was touch and go for the SD representative that was stabbed during the election-week.
No doubt these thugs attacked him. Happens every night. He just happens to be famous and gets a shot to fight back."
Second this sentiment! Worst bouncers in the world.
The youtube video clip you are refering to is taken totally out of context.
If you watch Eric Almqvist's response to this very selective video clip you will find out the background.
It shows how Eric Almqvist tries to kick the beer/pop can away from his antagonist, as well as the antagonist being held (arrested?) by the police afterwards.
So let's stick to the truth, please.
I think anyone who watches the clip can decide what they are watching for themselves. They don't need you or Erik Almqvist to explain it to them.
Referring to your previous post - Almqvist was in fact arrested (gripen in Swedish). He was released several hours later.
Let's stick to the truth (where the truth is verifiable) please.
"Threatened", that is the understatement of the year. "Regularly attacked" is the truth. With the approval of the PM and the Church and the media and, well, most functions of state and society really. During last election campaign there were regular hate-rallies against SD. And for what? Having the audacity to have a program of normalizing swedish immigrationpolicy with the rest of europe? For having the audacity of having a program that people that move to sweden should try to make as little a fuzz as possible and normalize into swedish society and culture? This is a crazy country.
I personally left SD since i simply cant share their enthusiasm for an "open swedishness" and "culturally swedish", id feel like a hypocrite if i was speaking for that idea, however noble and constructive it is. And i believe we are passed the point of no return and i think us swedes should prepare for the clansociety of old. But i wish them the best of luck, they are better people than me. Or more hopefull and constructive at least.
I stand corrected: I interpreted arrested as "anhållen" rather than "gripen". I have checked, and arrested can be translated both ways. Please excuse my poor Swenglish.
Still, the fact remains that he was "gripen" only because he was accused of being on drugs, and had to submit to a drug test (urine sample). Nothing to do with beating up the bouncer.
And I do think people should not watch only the short video clip, but rather watch the long one -which shows what happened before the kick. Otherwise it's kind of like just watching a cop shoot and kill a man, without knowing that the man first opened fire on the police and killed one police officer.
I think it's time to end this, since we will obviously not get any further because of our differing opinions. Thanks.
