Swedish politics is so complicated. So many issues and standards to be satisfied.
It's only just the beginning of the roller-coaster polls.
Still way to go till the next Swedish general elections which will be held on 14 September, 2014.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_general_election,_2014
Prime Minister Reinfeldt did talk to all the assembled nations at the UN about the importance of woman power and has just fulfilled his words back home in Sweden as the ladies-man by appointing two new powerful female ministers, and that should put him in good standing with the women voters....
"The Miljö-party / the Green Party is now almost as big as the Centre-Party, and the fact that the new Centre Party leader is now going on the offensive about environmental issues means that there's a risk that it will make it harder for Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt to broker broader parliamentary agreements." ( Lene Hennel, SvD.)
Hopefully, the two new female ministerial appointments will strengthen their parties....
Today's SvD page 2 editorial speaks glowingly about them ( Annie Lööf and Lena Ek )
It's too early predict with any certainty is what the economy is going to be looking like by September 2014. If it's a bad year for the working man's pocket then the questions on many minds will be the same asked by yesterday's SvD editorial: Whether it's going to be "Socialdemocrati som skydd mot framtiden?" - Is it going to be Social Democracy as some sort of guarantee about the future?
Get wise as the most of Sweden is doing now, see what the Moderates have created, and see why they have proved themselves as Sweden's most distrusted party.
Tax reduction has been given in the form of lower income tax, only to be eroded away by increased fuel taxes, uncontrolled energy and consumables prices.
Tax breaks given to the well off. The improve your home policy at the tax payers expense and can only be enjoyed the well off has proved a joke, as it hasn't worked. Now a stupid cut in taxes for restaurant owners who will only pocket it.
A huge rise in real unemployment and one of the highest levels for under 25's in Europe.
People being forced to work for nothing under the Moderates atrocious phase 3 program, nothing but slavery. Companies being paid to take them on, with the money coming from the tax payers.
Huge cuts made in the health service, especially in the care for the elderly.
Rising levels amongst the homeless (never seen before the arrival of the Moderate party).
The Margret Thatcher "I'm alright Jack" mentality, which only breeds uncertainty, despair and unease among communities.
To say the Moderates have run out is idea's is a joke, they never had anything for the normal Swede in the first place, the only people to benefit from their incompetent policies are the well off, the very people that financially support them in the first place.
Get wise, get rid of them now!
1. "The Miljö-party / the Green Party is now almost TWICE as big as the Centre-Party..."
2. "It's too early to predict with any certainty what the economy is going to be looking like by September 2014."
3. Another correction :"Great Scott" the typical Social Democrat gnäll gubbe is in great error to think that the Moderate Party is even remotely close to "Sweden's most distrusted party."
4. Fredrik Reinfeldt continues to be the most trusted of the Party Leaders.
5. No one is "being forced to work for nothing " in the Phase 3 programme.
6. Although unemployment figures are much higher in the rest of Europe & the US, the Alliance will have to do something more to get more young people into vocational training - where it's needed , and to work.
7. Doesn't the cut in restaurant tax make restaurant visits less of luxury and more affordable to the army of the unemployed?
If by Sept 14, 2014 the economy is down and immigration up - and there's more issues with either Islamic terrorism or immigrants then your best friends the most principled Sweden Democrats are likely to bounce to a much higher level of say, 7,2.....
The Moderates are Sweden's most distrusted party, this is what this poll is explaining.
You obviously have no idea of how phase 3 works. Unemployed people get a minimal benefit of 5,000sek per month (half that if under 25), they are then sent to do jobs at companies that others are being paid 4 times that amount. If a company needs extra personal then they should employ them at the full rate. Companies are being paid (from tax payers money) over 5,000sek per week to take them.
If an unemployed person refuses to do as he / she is told, they receive 0sek
Who in their right mind would pay the going rate and employ someone, when they can get paid for using them.
Fredrik Reinfeldt continues to be the most trusted of the Party Leaders, says who, SIFO, a government run organization.
You have failed to read what I said regarding restaurant tax, prices will not drop instead owners will pocket the reduction in tax. So food will not be cheaper for anyone.
As for your rant about Islamic terrorism and Sweden Democrats, I have no idea what you are talking about?
Gnäll gubbe,
the time is 17.50
Islamic Terrorism? Sweden is on high alert level serious.
The Phase 3
is really not that bad,
some who have been there say that Phase Four
is the cemetery.
But Phase 3 is a little broader than that - a little broader than the grace.....
- what you have specified in your description of Phase 3, tallies wholly with many varieties of Social Democrats Alliance experiments at solving the unemployment situation in their time.
Of course it should be easy and no sweat for Juholt to soon be writing the kind of fake prescriptions that the Social Democrats have yet to experiment with in their quest for Zero percent unemployment......
Have a nice day
They may crow about budget surpluses and banking health but the reality is that most of the good economic work was already completed under Goeran Persson, while this government's own contribution has been to either initiate naive and poorly thought out policies, or ignore pressing issues and let them fester. All will come back to bite future generations of Swedes.
Prosecution exhibit A is of course the Alliance's thoroughly unmanifested decision to opt for mass immigration which is now running at an even greater level per head of population than to the UK. There's really not enough space here to list all the social, cultural, political, religious, quality of life and economic problems this will bring Sweden in future, but Swedes could perhaps start their research by paying a visit to Hackney, Bradford, Leicester or Birmingham and deciding if that's really what they want.
Exhibit B is the run away white collar corruption that is taking hold in the increasingly greedy and selfish Swedish society. There is actually a lot of evidence that corruption increases when people lose faith in society, and that people lose faith in society when their own culture and identity is swamped, so this is partly linked to the above. But its also to do with changing values set in place by the Reinfeldts. Greed is the new good. Get rich, and sod everyone else. Corruption is also spreading because the Alliance government turns a blind eye to it.
The Alliance have failed to tackle soaring property prices, the shortage of rental accomodation, massive congestion on the roads and railways, soaring drug use, and rising violence.
A Swedish friend recently lammented that many of the government's mistakes are due to its close relationship with Britain and the fact that Swedes in general tend to look to the UK. He felt Sweden would be doing a lot better if it was following Germany instead, and cited the example of the Reinfeldt's government enthusiasm (dictated to the state media) of UK/US style political correctness which has made Sweden's SVT1 and 2 in particular all but unwatchable.
Reinfeldt had only limited experience upon becoming PM, and almost of of it within Sweden. His naivety and one dimensional thinking is set to cost Sweden dear.
Your efforts resort to nothing but a waste of space and a waste of time. As do many other naive Moderate wasters do!
"A glowing appraisal of Sweden just appeared in the US media, the decidedly 'Right' side of it. The conservative magazine in question, 'The American Spectator', notes Sweden is -- in a number of ways -- effectively embracing what many term 'neoliberal reforms' even more than the US, singing Sweden's praises because of this.
The article ends by observing: 'Nonetheless, it's surely paradoxical -- and tragic -- that a small Nordic country which remains a byword for its (at times obsessive) commitment to egalitarianism has proved far more willing than America to give economic liberty a chance.'
'Free Market Sweden, Social Democratic America' - from the decidedly 'Right-wing' magazine, 'The American Spectator'
http://spectator.org/archives/2011/09/29/free-market-sweden-social-demo
Of course, what isn't said in this article is how such reforms led to substantive societal pain, with too many today seen 'scapegoating' immigrants for that pain, and so keeping focus from the neoliberal reforms which cut the funding for the benefits that would have precluded both the pain and divisiveness now present. But with 70 billion kroner in income tax cuts alone, not to mention 'corporate welfare', at least society's most affluent members are happy.
I'll add that US Progressives would view praise from The Spectator as a sure indication they were doing the wrong things."
Obviously, I agree with the above, but apologies, this will be my only comment here...
The article we are commenting on is about the latest opinion polls and that includes the gains and losses of all the parties
Let me explain a little item that you did not seem to understand - that Sweden Democrats could get bigger if anti-immigration, problems with multiculturalism and Islamism become big issues, since they are the party that is stomping most ardently about such issues....and by Islamism I mean e.g. the headlines you read the other day "Converts must die: imam to Swedish radio" forgetting that universal jurisdiction or not, this is not the Gaza strip.
Look at this:
http://bigpeace.com/kpatton/2011/09/30/where-is-the-vatican-the-case-of-christian-pastor-yousef-nadarkhani/
There's nothing naïve about our economic or social reality. Or about Phase 1, 2 & 3 after which it's the cemetery.
We all want to see an even better Sweden.
Sweden does not belong exclusively to any one political party or coalition of parties - it's not a "four legs good, two legs bad" tug of war.
Your problem is that you think the Moderate Party has only succeeded in making things worse for most people and that the Social Democrats will take us all back to Heaven or to the Garden of Eden, as they did before, remember ?
And so you see, Simple Simon has said no-thing.
Good morning.
I don't know why I am wasting my time answering your comments. In this article I am not interested in the Sweden Democrats and what their thoughts are, that is for another discussion. My problem is what has this government done to help the unemployed and the less well off, nothing, what has the government done to raise standards, nothing. All this government has done is what I stated earlier.
I am not saying that the Social Democrats are currently any better, but they certainly aren't any worse.
If you look back over Sweden's history you will see that Socital Democrats originally got into power due to the appalling state of right wing politics. Poor starving and homeless people were common, the Solicial Democrats changed all that, they build affordable housing, supported industry and created a world class health system that cannot be matched today by any country in the world.
All this government has done is cut spending and financed tax breaks for the well off from tax payer's money.
As for your ignorance of phase 3, I suggest you start reading about who are the real benefit cheats, and who are the cheated. There is a company called The Job Factory, I suggest you read and put some of your effort into this. This moron government is supporting and financing this from tax payer's money.
