Does that mean we can sit on him?
Very astute observation.
dictators should only get one medal around their necks, a noose.
The Saudi King at least feeds his people.
so true...
@Bushyblondehead
Yep, lots of light but nobody home..
A funny picture with the queen edited out, for some reason..
sorry truthworthy, but if that what Islam stands for, then islam is my enemy!
The King did recently say woman are going to be able to run for local political office.
As a Swede, I feel that it´s time to dethrone the King Gustav.
He has encouraged co-ed university schooling, acted against clerics in their treatment of women (women will get to vote in 2015) and has reversed some sentences of citizens as unfairly harsh.
The wahhabi version of Islam practiced in Arabia is a mean spirited version of Islam. Funny how in the land of Mohammed this sect does the opposite of what Mohammed did. Mohammed had respect for women which doesn't exist with these Wahhabi clerics.
Eventually they will lose power. I admire King Abdullah for doing as much for his people as he has.
The rule of law is being strengthened and more evenly applied.
Also, many people have been pardoned or had severe sentences reduced - for expatriates who break Saudi laws, they are now allowed to go home and serve their sentences there - if their own country will take them back.
He is building Universities at an astonishing rate and hiring the best Profs. available from Europe, Japan and North America.
Unbelievably, for the world's largest petroleum producer, he is changing electrical-power-generation away from fossil-fuels - to solar & nuclear.
Women can own their own business and work in stores (previously they didn't).

It's hardly a scientific survey encompassing all of Europe.
Since 1960 the number of Muslims world-wide has tripled (presently at 1.8 Billion)
Since 1960 the number of Christians world-wide has doubled (presently at 2.0 Billion)
I don't think the Muslims want Europe, there are far, far more people in Africa and Asia to convert, by the way, these two continents are fertile ground for Christian Churches to find converts also.
It's simple, breed like rabbits, threaten to kill apostates.
"I don't think the Muslims want Europe, there are far, far more people in Africa and Asia to convert, by the way, these two continents are fertile ground for Christian Churches to find converts also. "
C'mon, they want it all, and will settle for nothing less.
"Religion of peace Forced Conversion"
Never been there, huh?
Been where, huh?
Stand up like a man and state your case.
You know what I meant. I asked if you had ever been there?
It's obvious to me, that had you EVER been there you wouldn't have dreamed up all those accusations -- that you can't prove.
Or, can you? Stand up like a bc ferry, or whatever you are -- AND STATE YOUR CASE.
Try using you're real name in order to be credible. Put your name to your accusations. I do.
Been where, and what specific accusations are you accusing me of dreaming up that are unprovable?
Either get to a specific point, or continue to run off like a school girl.
Your choice.
On the World-Wide-Web website named thelocal.se you posted a comment at 13:58 October 9, 2011, in reference to an article entitled, "King slammed over award to Saudi monarch" which was published 4 Oct 11 08:45 CET.
The "post number" for your comment is #39. I feel the comments you made within that post are offensive and those comments of yours are what I hereinafter refer to.
You quoted part of my overall comment contained within my post #38 as saying; "Since 1960 the number of Muslims world-wide has tripled (presently at 1.8 Billion)." Those are my words and opinions and I stand by them.
To which you replied; "It's simple, breed like rabbits, threaten to kill apostates."
I find your sentence offensive. You insinuate that Muslims have been "breeding like rabbits" in order to reach 1.8 Billion. You further assert that Muslims "threaten to kill apostates" - does that mean all Muslims "threaten to kill apostates"? All 1.8 Billion of them? Do you really believe that?
It is my opinion that such statements breach the decorum expected of civilized human beings. I think that most humans would agree - although I have been accused of having high standards and expecting the same of my fellow human beings. Why not?
You have been asking a lot of questions of me in this forum. I think that I too, have the right to ask questions of you. And, if not, why not?
Further in the same post you again quoted part of my overall comment contained within my post #38 as saying; "I don't think the Muslims want Europe, there are far, far more people in Africa and Asia to convert, by the way, these two continents are fertile ground for Christian Churches to find converts also. " Again, those are my words and opinions and I do stand by them.
To which you replied; "C'mon, they want it all, and will settle for nothing less."
What does that mean? They want all of something, according to you - but what? What is that something that "they" want, "and will settle for nothing less." Do you mean Muslims and Christians - because my sentence referred to both religions?
It seems like an accusation. If it is - name it! Inquiring minds want to know. You are the one who posed this statement. Is there something we should know? Why the mystery? Do tell.
You continued onto your last line of post #39 by saying; "Religion of peace Forced Conversion".
It looks like some kind of slogan. Is it? What does that mean? It obviously means something to you, or you wouldn't have said it.
It seems to me that the general theme of your post #39 is (and I do apologize for paraphrasing your words here); 'Muslims (and possibly Christians) are breeding like rabbits in an effort to take over the whole world by forced conversion, whilst pretending to be religions of peace.'

84%: of Egyptians believe apostates should face the death penalty.
Majority of Today's Muslims favor Death for Apostates For almost 1,400 years, the punishment for apostasy has been death. Only recently has this been challenged, mainly by Islamic apologists in the West.
A Pew poll released on December 2, 2010, found that even today "The majority of Muslims would favor changing current laws in their countries to "allow stoning as punishment for adultery, hand amputation for theft, and death for those who convert from Islam as their religion".[18][19][20] To give you an idea of the kind of figures we're dealing with, we'll use Pakistan as an example; the 2010 poll found that 76% of Pakistanis agree apostates are to be killed. In a country with a population of 172,800,000[21] (96% of whom are Muslim)[22] that would be 126,074,880 individuals in a single country. Conversely only a mere 13% of Muslims opposed killing apostates.
If we are to assume the politically-correct position that, Muslims who espouse such views are extremists who misunderstand the 'peaceful' teachings of Islam, then we must also concede the fact that the majority of Muslims in the world are extremists. They are not simply a 'fringe group'.
Multiculturism and Weak Governments"
Excerpt,
"One would think at these rates, the population of Europe would be in a freefall. But it isn't, it's growing by leaps and bounds. So who are these people supplementing the population of Europe? Islamic immigrants. Since 1990, 90% of all immigrants to Europe are muslims. Across the 31 countries that comprise the European Union, the fertility rate is an average of 1.38.
France: Fertility Rate is 1.8 per family, while Muslims account for 8.1 children per family. In southern France, there are now more mosques than churches. In small French towns, 30% of children under the age of 20 are Muslim. In the larger towns, that number jumps to 45%. In 2027, a mere 16 years away, 1 in 5 Frenchmen will me Muslim. In less than 40 years, France will be an Islamic nation.
England: 1.6...In the last 30 years, Muslims have increased their population from 82,000 to more than 2.5 million. There are more than a thousand mosques, many of them former Christian churches.
In the Netherlands, 50% of all births are Muslim. At this rate, within 15 years, half of the population will be Muslim.
In Russia, 1 out of 5 Russians are Muslim, which means that 40% of Russia's vast army will be comprised of Muslims within just a few years. Belgium, 25% of the population are already Muslim, and over 50% of the newborns are, too.
According to Germany's Federal Statistics Office, "The fall in German population can no longer be stopped. Its spiral is no longer reversible. It will be a Muslim state by the year 2050."
It's simple, breed like rabbits, threaten death to apostates.
