a) why was there an interpol arrest?

@liquid - Having read through the U.K. judgement, it seems as though the problem is that due to European cooperation, they basically have to hand him over. I agree with you on the house-arrest issue though - truly crazy.
You can have unprotected consensual sex with someone and they can decide it was rape the day after. Absolutely ridiculous.
I also have no understanding as to why the UK would extradite him or why Interpol was involved.
I hope 100% that he appeals to the high-court.
A "misunderstanding" legal system either is legally weak, or not a practical legal system!
