You don't need to worry for him, He won't ask you to join him! ;)
My Iranian friends visit Iran often. They love to go there and Ski, Mountain climb, Mountain bike, Surf and see the 3000 year old ruins of Persopolis.
Iraniboy;
Most these people on this site don't know the difference between Iran, Iraq, etc...
Happy Thanksgiving.
What I have to admire about Mr Eriksson is his ability to make pot loads of money despite a lack of recent success
I know the difference...the q and the n are 3 rows and 6 letters away!
My other 'sarcasm' was not connected with the people of Iran themselves, but rather with the nature of the repressive regime. Still, he could do worse....Penn State for example?
"Iran is one of the safest country in the world."
This would be the Iran where thousands were imprisoned without trial, beaten tortured and raped by the authorities after the 2009 presidential elections? The Iran where Neda Agha-Soltan was shot dead on the street by a secret policeman, and her grave later desecrated by the government? The Iran that charged three lost US backpackers as yankee spies, and demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars for their release. The Iran that breached a sacrosanct diplomatic protocol, and detained 52 US diplomats for 444 days? The Iran that is threatened with attack next year by Israel, and the US, the mightiest military force in the world - by far? The Iran where crimes are punished by the severing of limbs and the injection of acid into peoples' eyes to make them blind?
It would be interesting to hear your definition of dangerous!
I agree with all you say.
The "political" system in Iran is in shambles. However, the lives of 99% of the people who are busy living, is not as you describe above.
People who stay out of politics, live there as we do here.
As far as Israel attacking Iran.... are you kidding me?
That's like saying Skåne is going to attack France. Its a bluff and the world is buying it up.
Israel would become a parking lot if they attacked Iran. The only country in the world that could pull off an attack would be the US, and I guarantee you it will not happen.
In 5 to 10 years, the people of Iran will take care of the Mullas themselves. We need to stay out of it.
He is only after MONEY and has no committment to football . I he were concerned about the game , he should have quit coaching a long time ago , because he has crushed all the teams he was in charge of .
This man does not know football . For his won good , he should drop the idea of going into Iran . They stone fakes like him .
It certainly looks like he is motivated by money: I remember when England & Sweden played in World Cup 2002, Svennis was being paid TWICE as much as the two Swedish 'co-managers' put together.
If a highly paid manager can only achieve moderate success, then it must be other areas of the game that need to be looked at, if attractive, winning football is going to be the result
Happy thanksgiving day :)
@SimonDMontfort
He is motivated by money? What are you motivated for every morning you wake up to go to work?
@RobinHood
There are countless number of wrongdoing by Iranian governments but it has been mostly against Iranians not abroad! However I can enlighten you about what you forgot to mention!
Do you know that when Iran was attacked by the Chemical weapons sold by European and Asian countries and the intelligence provided by the US and UK, none of them said ONE word in the UN about that chemical attack for weeks!?
Do you know that diplomats arrested where found with documents planning to return the monarchy of Iran back to Iran before new government was made?
Do you know that US has blown up a civilian Iranian plane with more than 200 people, one third of which children and the flight was only 20 minutes over the Persian Gulf meaning that it could be recognized as being civilian aircraft with naked eye?
These are memories we'd rather forget because it won't help anyone but you probably need to know since you have never heard of it!
