A 55-year-old man was shot in the head while renovating a café in central Malmö on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were alerted of the shooting shortly after 1pm.

“The incident had taken place just before that,” said Marie Persson of the county police to news agency TT.

The police quickly arrived on the scene, secured the premises and let emergency services in to try to save the man’s life.

He was taken by ambulance to the Skåne University hospital, where his condition was judged to be life threatening. He died later during the evening.

According to witness statements, two men had entered the café, which two others were refurbishing, when some sort of dispute ensued.

“One of the men then pulls out a gun and shoots the workman in the head,” said police officer Thomas Paulsson to Sveriges Television (SVT).

After the shooting, the two men quickly exited the shop, leaving the bleeding victim and his severely shocked 30-year-old colleague, who managed to get help alerting police.

“He came running in here saying his friend had been shot, wanting me to call the police,” one witness told local paper Sydsvenskan.

“I thought he was joking at first but he took a deep breath and I realized that he must be serious. I closed the door and called the police.”

According to Sydsvenskan, the victim was not previously known to the police.

However, one of the owners of the café is said to be a 40-year-old former member of the disbanded Lion Family gang, which operated in the area in 2009 and 2010.

Police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the shooting.

There is no problem with immigration policies, there is no problem with immigration policies, there is no problem with immigration policies. Malmö will be the first to fall.

Everyone involved are criminals and immigrants. Both the victims and the shooters. It`s gang activities.

There is so much missing information in this column. Who was shot? Where specifically did the shooting occur (i.e. what is the name of the cafe)? What do the suspects look like? All censored in the name of political correctness...

I love immigrants, they bring good food, humor and are not hung up on feminism. All the things we Swedes don't have. I know this has nothing to do with the article but give them a break! You want cheap falafel but hate immigrants? You want Levi's & Converse and hate Americans? Grow up!

Maybe if the press would tell the public whether people involved are immigrants or not, then let the facts speak. Self censoring in service of political correctness doesn't help society in the long run. Political correctness always favors one side's bias and agenda over another one. The press needs to lay out the facts so that society can see itself for what it is.

Swedish is going to be the first group of people destroy themselves.

They are eagerly wanting all their children to be screwed by Mohamed and Ali, and their grandchildren to be entertained under the gunfire. When is sweden going to wake up? Traveling to Malmo and Landskrona is like going to a fourth world nation. Not even the developing nations are that bad. Dirty streets and poorly dressed inhabitants, and more cheap kebab places than the fancy places....

Hurray for multiculturalism.

Fearing to report the truth only causes speculation.

Not all immigrants are bad.

Not all Swedes are good.

But I do wish the Swedish government would admit that multiculturalism is a myth and simply does not work.
13:17 January 11, 2012 by zooeden
Hey C´mon multiculturalism is not a myth, is real and you can choose to make it work:

1; dont bring talibans

2: dont bring somalian extremists

3: dont bring roma

4: dont bring unemployed hippie chileans (all)

5; dont bring balcans

6 dont bring non skillfull people

7: make some kind of test to enter with questions like is it ok a girl marries another one from other culture??? and if fails it fails to enter, questions that could uncover extremism, agression towards women, equality, etc!!!
