Man dead in snowboarding accident

A Swedish man in his twenties died late Saturday night from the injuries he sustained in a snowboarding accident in Dalarna skiing resort Hundfjället, in central Sweden.

The 25-year-old man was flown to the Norwegian hospital in an ambulance helicopter.
According to newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN), the man fell badly whilst snowboarding.
"From what his friends have told us, it was an accident. It happened in Trollparken, a section of the slopes which has some jumps," said Linda Morell, head of the Hundfjället ski resort, to DN.
Although it had jumps, the slope in which he fell was a beginner's slope, reported DN.
It's unclear how the accident occurred, and representatives from Oslo University Hospital were unwilling to divulge details about the exact injuries the 25-year-old had sustained.
The accident occurred around midday on Saturday, and the 25-year-old's relatives have been informed.

Look at auto wrecks. people sometimes die in minor collisions, others walk away form 200 kph accidents where the vehicle is torn to shreds.
I just bought a helmet for skiing last month, better safe and sorry
The details are scarce because not all of the witnesses have been interviewed yet - some are in shock/some are in Norway

At your age, you might even enjoy yourself, be careful if doesn't happen ;)
The Alps attracts those who want to party as much as ski, but in Norway and Sweden the cost of drinking tends to tame most of these. Slope ettiquete seems better here too.
