15-year-old girl abducted by father and armed men

A 15-year-old girl, taken into custody by social services last week, was removed on Sunday from her foster home by four armed men, one of which was her father.

”I can confirm that we are dealing with a case of abduction. I can't disclose more than that due to the sensitive nature of the case,” said Johan Frisk of the Jönköping police to daily Aftonbladet.

According to the paper, the girl came to Sweden with her parents a few years ago.

She was removed from her home last week after social services found out that her father had been beating her. Local authorities placed her in a foster home in the nearby community of Sävsjö.

But on Sunday four men armed with guns and axes turned up at the foster home looking for the 15-year-old. After overpowering and tying up the foster parents the men took off with the girl.

”It could be honour-related,” an anonymous source told the paper.

Several police patrols were called out to the area but police are not willing to disclose any particulars about the case at this stage in the investigation.

Neither the municipality authorities where the girl lives nor the administrative court in nearby Jönköping wanted to elaborate on the case when Aftonbladet contacted them.

According to the detention order the father is suspected of abduction, deprivation of liberty, two cases of assault and threatening behaviour. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Sunday evening.

His legal representation could not shed more light on his whereabouts.

”I have not been in contact with him and I don't know where he is,” said Conny Rydberg, the father's lawyer, to Aftonbladet.

According to Aftonbladet's anonymous source the girl could already have left the country.

”It is not unlikely that the girl will be taken abroad,” the source revealed to the paper.

As a result of these and similar incidents, is there even one politician in the governing coalition who will propose changes to Swedish laws and custody restriction practices that will help to protect the safety of Muslim women and teenagers from honour-related beatings, torture, abduction, and murder, or are they and the police afraid of being labelled racists for making any such proposals? Or do they feel that today's measures are adequate?

Would be nice to see the last four decades of psychology PhD graduates and criminologists step forward and devise skillfull screening tests to identify abusers within immigrant or asylum seeking families, so that the women, daughters, and young sons have an option to escape with their lives from an abusive father and any abusive older brother(s) at the border.

Would have been nice if the authorities went after the abducting father as zealously as they are going after Julian Assange. Where the F is the European arrest warrant for this guy? Why do we not know his name? Why was his photo not all over the newspapers and television the minute this was reported?

Why is nothing much being done? Because Muslim fanatics are a protected class. This country was a much better place before it started proudly leading the world in taking in people who share none of its values.

Er actually the north African muslims were very active in the west African slave trade.

All the people involved in the events you mentioned are now dead, and their ancestors generally much better behaved now. Contrary to what you say, no one alive today bears any blame. The armed gang that kidnapped the little girl are not dead, they were born in a modern, more civilised times, where the rule of law, logic, reason and education teaches us that kidnapping little girls (and all the other terrible things done by members of a certain faith) is fundamentally immoral and illegal.

Agree that the man who abducted his daughter is the dregs of the Earth and the worst example of patriarchal terrorism against his own family.

But as for white people not being responsible for recent bad things, in fairness to xcited recall that in the mid 1990's, many white people who are still alive today killed 8000 Muslim men and boys in Serbia.

And for two decades there were100 or more war criminals that were sought in conjunction with this massacre, and it was never clear to me why extremist Muslims would not focus their energies on delivering justice to these war criminals, in the same way that the Mossad hunted down many of the Black September terrorists after Munich, 1972, rather than the nonsense of trying to stab a cartoonist to death, or blowing up Christmas shoppers along Drottninggatan.

Anyway REGARDLESS of the large historical crimes that have occured at the hands of whites, blacks, muslims, etc..., no one crime absolves the severity of the next one, and it is no use for any Muslim or non Muslim to say that whites have done a lot of bad things and therefore the guilt of this particular man with regard to his actions against his own family can be deemed relatively insignificant.

The actions of this man are a horrific example of pathological criminal behaviour and I would like to see more leaders of the Muslim community in Sweden (and other Hindu or other ethnic leaders) loudly condemming these men, and assisting with the establishiment of anonymous tip mechanisms and other community support mechanisms to help women and daughters escape from terrorist fathers or older brother(s), whether the father or older brother is Muslim or not (honour crimes come from many parts of the world).

and 'muslims' r not tipping over each to live here, war torn people are, who need help, mainly arabs. There are muslims around the world, in europe,asia, america,africa and they are happy wr they are. So if you say 'muslim' it doesnt fit.

And no wr have i said u r blood thirty savages, i respect most people and dont let myself judge others by few exceptionals. All i said was, dont judge the whole system for a few errors. Arabs r generally hot-blooded and over emotional people but that is the characteristic of an arab not the whole islamic system. If you see muslims in other countries you will find them respected, smart and intelligent like millions of other people. Please stop bringing Muslim/Islam on everything that happens here coz the millions of other muslims around the world dont deserve it.

It's not that these people don't want immigrants. They want PEACEFUL immigrants who actually respect the culture and people of this land. If the Muslims did what they did in Sweden in Canada or the United States, there would be anti-Muslim riots like you don't believe. I don't get why Sweden tolerates this stuff.

From 1976-2006, violent crime has increased by 200% in Sweden. In Malmo alone, it is probably 1000% or more by my guess. It is pretty strange how all this violence came about after your people started coming. Doesn't matter if some Muslims are nice, the ones that come to Sweden are criminals or just collect welfare, and that's what counts.

They are not my people, I am not same as their country or race or status only the religion. You might agree that all people are not same, and it depends country to country. People from china dont act same as people from australia. In the same way, the people who got in as refugee are mainly from countries with poor education, no freedom of speech, no freedom for women, angry bloodlines and many other things. Even the muslims in other countries are afraid of them, because of their nature not religion. My father always asked me to stay away from them and their country unless it is very needed. But yes some are good and educated. But I dont understand why your government brought them and still bringing them to swd...

So if you want to have good immigrants then talk to your government to see the country background and their nature first. I am sure their are millions of other people who wants to live here, maybe muslims or hindu or buddhist, but it depends on what country and environment they are from, not what religion they are. And if you want to complain or make riots,do it against them not the religion as they dont know anything about Islam, if they did they wouldnt be like this...

This girl has been taken out of the country and beaten, raped, mutilated or murdered. Count on it.

Her blood is on the hands of the Swedish authorities who, out of some ridiculous idea of cultural relativism or political correctness, failed to take seriously the danger she was in.

When people come from a culture that condones murdering children to preserve family "honor," the rules have to be applied differently. The presumption of innocence, when it comes to the male relatives, must be replaced with a presumption of guilt. The minute a female from one of these cultures makes a complaint of violence, the passports of all of the male relatives should be confiscated until the case is sorted out. The PRESUMPTION in custody should be that the father is an unfit parent. The PRESUMPTION must be that a young woman in this situation needs a protected identity. It's pure luck that the foster parents weren't murdered.

That is reality. Anything short of that is fantasy.

This doesn't apply to all Muslims or even all immigrants from Afghanistan, but there is a specific ethnic profile to these types of crimes. This innocent girl has probably paid for feel-good rhetoric about diversity with her life. Fundamentalist Muslims from backward, savage states can't be counted on to suddenly become civilized Swedes. It is time for the Swedish authorities to recognize this reality.

#1 There is nothing in this article that either states or implies that 'the father' is in fact 'a Muslim.'

Readers/posters here simply assume this to be the case, because there's a connotation of it.

#2 Had this father truly 'beat' his daughter, that is a violent crime and he would have been placed in jail from that very moment! Which leads me to believe that he was not charged with this crime...but simply under suspicion maybe.

The reality is that Swedish Social Services are becoming infamous for kidnapping peoples children and traumatizing the entire family, prior to any charges of abuse. I wouldn't be surprised if this Daddy panicked about losing his daughter and decided to kidnap her back. Notice that he didn't do any harm to the foster parents? He just wanted his kid back.

Maybe you noticed that 'neither the municipality authorities where the girl lives nor the administrative court in nearby Jönköping would tell us that the father was not charged with the crime of 'beating his daughter'. In the absence of that, his actions might appear justified; and they certainly don't want readers to think that.

How on earth have all these commentators here turned this article into an issue about 'immigrants, Muslims, violence and religion'? Are you people reading a different article than the rest of us?? Or did you run out of anti-depressant meds just prior to reading this article?

That case is one of countless others.

People look at the known facts and known histories of similar cases and draw the rational conclusion that this is yet another case of violent Muslim males thinking they can uphold family honor by controlling the females in the family. Because when the facts finally come out at trial, that's what it always turns out to be.

Sweden has very strong laws protecting the privacy rights of the accused. The authorities aren't allowed to release the father's name until a later stage. Nor can the press publish a photo of the father. If 9/11 had happened in Sweden, we would never have been told that the hijackers were Saudi Arabian.

I never said ALL Muslims are like this, but it doesn't matter where they come from, many of the Muslims who come to Sweden, from different regions cause problems. Even if you are ok , doesn't mean they are. I have no intention of causing riots either, and I'm not Swedish. I just think until further notice, Sweden should just deport them all. Then, on a case by case basis, determine whether they are educated, their personality/mood and how willing they are to become Swedish. As well, they must be extremely liberal Muslims or they aren't allowed in, it's the hardcore ones who kill daughters because they hug a male friend.

Fact is however, Islam IS a violent religion. It's just a good thing you don't follow it to the letter.

@The Watchman, this has noting to do with Islam. It has to do with a backward, misogynistic culture.

Hitler wasn't a Muslim, nor was Stalin, nor was Mao. Nor was Timothy McVeigh. Or Eric Rudolph. Muslims were mostly victims of so-called Christians in Bosnia and Kosovo.

There are as many kinds of Muslims as there are kinds of Christians.

Sweden's problem is too many non-integrated immigrants. And authorities who don't seem to realize that the bigger the differences between Swedish culture and the immigrants' cultures, the greater the commitment of money and other resources must be in order to get the newcomers integrated.

"Sink or swim" results in tragedies like the one in this article.
