Stockholm men ranked 'world's sexiest'

Stockholm men are the best looking in the world, according to a new ranking, taking home the number one spot in a category Swedes have dominated in the past.

Despite the sometimes chilly temperatures, Stockholm's blisteringly hot men helped the city beat out runner-up New York City and third-ranked Amsterdam.
“Swedish men are often stereotyped as cold, emotionally distant loners and inexplicably mistaken for Swiss guys," Travelers Digest wrote in presenting its top-ten ranking.
"On the plus side, they are also generally considered aesthetically pleasing due to their fine-boned Nordic attributes and exceptional height advantage."
The description may come as no surprise to the average Swede (or indeed, the average “Viking victim” transplant), as Swedish studs have made the world’s mouth water at least since tennis star Björn Borg graced the courts in the early 1970s.
Currently, Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård may be the reigning Swedish hunk supreme, although 25-year-old pop star Måns Zelmerlöv has also been known to set hearts aflutter, even if he may not be as well known outside of Sweden.
Other Swedish hotties of note include footballer and underwear model Fredrik Ljungberg, and perhaps actor Mikael Persbrandt, set to appear in the upcoming Hobbit movies.

According to Travelers' Digest, the typical Stockholm-hunk is an “impeccably-dressed clotheshorse” who likes to indulge in the finer things from “food to fashion, culture to hearth”.
The article also delves into how to go about snagging a Stockholm man for oneself.
“Despite the fact that one must practice patience when engaging in the slightly bizarre ritual known as the Swedish courting process, once you have captured the heart and imagination of your elegant gent he will be devoted to you for life," the article reads.
"What’s more irresistible than that?”
Other cities included in the ranking were Lisbon, Buenos Aires, and Sydney, while Madrid, Berlin, Milan, Tel Aviv rounded out the top ten.
In a similar list compiled by the website previously, Stockholm women came in second place in the worldwide list for best looking women.

Factor in his fixation with splitting the bill two ways at all times, his inability to hold a door open, or say thank you, his over reliance on his mother, and his general effeminate, slightly prizy and sulky demeanour, and you soon realize that a Stockholm male is very high maintenance.
I'd suggest women look to the West coast of Sweden instead. Same looks but a whole lot more normal as a human Being. Same goes for the women.
Any girl dissatisfied with the other qualites of the Stockholm studs need look no further than, say, Malmö, Rinkeby or Södertälje for the right guy. She can then live happily ever after, draped in a black tent.

I had a female friend visit me while I was living in Sweden - she was traveling to France, Belgium, and Holland and decided it would be easy to stop by for a couple days while she was in Europe. I picked her up at Arlanda, and took her to downtown Stockholm, and that was basically her first comment after about fifteen minutes ... "there are a lot of gay Swedish guys, aren't there?" I just kind of looked at her confused, and then it dawned on me ... Swedish men's fashion would strike most Americans as being slightly homosexual.
She was much happier when I explained they weren't gay ... almost like a kid in a candy store. "There are a lot of hot guys here ....!!!" she exclaimed. And I retorted, "there's also a lot of super hot woman!"

That was what stuck out with me. How did NYC even get on the list. I could see Stockholm as number 1. NYC as number 2 completely invalidates the list.
I might not fully agree with her, but it has quite a bit of thruth. If you spent some time just looking around watching how they (Swdish men) look, dress, talk, move and behave, you start wondering if the Pride Parade has begun.
But from my perspective and having many Swedish friends I think they are not as bad as some people here says. You have to agree that they are good looking, and even as the fashion here is different than other places, not all guys dress like that. On the other hand, they are quite reliable and I dont see the "high maintenance" part.
I think their problem is they are too shy and have absolutely no initiative. And I think the reason is the Swedish feminism. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying that is a bad thing, but I think Swedish women are the ones who are high maintenance. I mean, Swedish guys are afraid of even looking at girls in the streets. Italian-Americans are the sexiest, from my point of view.
Stockholm's guys are handsome, slim and muscular. They take good care of themselves, well-groomed and are not apes, like some other so called "macho" men. Much better looking than overweight and short London men for example.
But sexy? Nooo... You need to have a special attitude to be seen as sexy. Swedish men don't have it, they are too dull.

I have worked with self absorbed Swedes for 10 years and I can assure you all that ego is because they feel inferior and worry so much about what the world will think about their dear Viking land! And all those surveys that has Sweden on top? Because they try so hard to talk about their Sweden than other countries do for their own countries! Thats all. If they were genuine surveys, Sweden would be on the bottom.

So this 'ranking' comes not from any authority or vote, but solely from the judgment of one opinionated woman who works for some obscure travel website, and is based on her eugenics-guided views. The question is how Mr. Gee and The Local get off publicising these personal views of one woman as a piece of Swedish 'news' whilst generally presenting themselves as journalistic arbiters of multicultural virtue and civil recognition for immigrants.
By presuming a 'Stockholm man' is ethnic Swedish, and then saying the physical characteristics of such are better than other humans males, the article ignores and so undermines the sizable immigrant aspect of the Stockholm population and further, denigrates their physical genetic properties.
For goodness sake - by the rationale of the basis of this ranking, further immigration by the shorter / non-Nordic / broad-faced peoples of the southern regions of the world into Stockholm would lessen the physical sexiness of Stockholm men!

And their being "Vikings" give them extra attractiveness. Tall men are masculin. And Swedish men have perfect amount of hair on their bodies. Just like a "male human" but not like a "chimpanzee". For me and for so many girls, Swedish men are so hot... I know so many Russian, Polish, Greek, Spanish, American, Turkish, Iranian girls who adore Swedish men.
