Princess Estelle goes for her 'first walk'

Sweden's Royal Court has released a new picture of Princess Estelle out for a walk with her parents on the grounds of Haga Palace in a Brio-brand pram, much to the delight of the Swedish company's CEO.

The image, released on Tuesday afternoon on the Royal Court's Facebook page, shows Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel pushing a dark blue Brio baby carriage.

The picture was taken by Princess Estelle's uncle Prince Carl Philip while the Crown Princess and her newly-expanded family were out for a stroll on the grounds near their home at Haga Palace on the outskirts of Stockholm.

Princess Estelle is not visible in the image, however.

"The background to the picture is that the Crown Princess wanted to go for a walk in Haga Park," Royal Court spokesperson Bertil Ternert told the TT news agency.

As the image of Victoria and Daniel and their brand new Swedish-brand Brio pram spread across Swedish news websites and blogs, not to mention being shared several hundred times through the Royal Court's Facebook page, Brio Baby CEO Håkan Johansson could hardly contain his excitement.

"This is absolutely fantastic," he told the Expressen newspaper.

"Of course we're happily surprised by it, and at the same time we're sure the Crown Princess couple will be very happy with the pram they've chosen."

Johansson refrained from trying to attaching a monetary value to all the free publicity the picture means for the company, however.

Victoria and Daniel seem glowing with happiness. Congrats to them.

@muscle

Have you ever looked at facebook pages of new parents? PLASTERED with photos of their baby, their pride and joy. People like to show off their lovely new child. Baby photos are the second most common photo published on the internet (after baby-making photos--ahem)

Carl-Philip took pictures of his sister with her baby. Not paparazzi, her brother.

I am sure that he did not

I like the fact that all the photos released so far have been family snaps taken by members of the family rather than glossy posed studio portraits - although I'm sure that an official family photo will come sometime

Even the photos of the baby in her hand knitted cardie were taken by Prince Daniel himslef

umm in that case, ok. but how can people love so much publicity and attention

Here you go again criticizing your royal family. Why can't you just be pleased to see pictures of a normal couple out walking with their family. The fact that prince Carl Philip took the picture is good at least they are not being hounded by the press.Yes it is nice to see official photos but they are always so stuffy. At least this photo is a true family photo. : ) : )

How much free publicity Brio is getting????
20:03 February 29, 2012 by skogsbo
loads hopefully, Brio make some good stuff, usually lasting a few generations. If they bought foreign stuff, everyone would complain, there is clearly no pleasing you Klubb, as a Swede shouldn't you support Swedish business?
