'Spank her arse' coach returns to train teens

The floorball coach who was suspended after having used sexually suggestive materials known as "hot babes on defence" to train a team of 14-year-old boys has been allowed to return to duty after two months away.

“He has shown great leadership skills over a long period of time,” said the club’s chairman Ulf Sylwander to local paper Helsingborgs Dagblad (HD).

The controversial materials sparked a media storm when they became public in January and reference strategies known as ”Petra”, ”Jennifer” and ”Sofia”.

They were devised by the coach to show the boys on the FBC Engelholm floorball team how to play in various circumstances.

According to the strategies, referred to as ”hot babes on defence” (Snygga brudar i försvaret), “Sofia” is “hot and sexy” and likes to ”dress provocatively” and ”help herself in bed”.

”By snogging and feeling up Sofia at the right moment we will reach the optimum result,” the notes read.

”In bed, you can rip her clothes and spank her bottom.”

“Petra” meanwhile, “scratches, bites and likes to dominate” and “gets in the mood when you are aggressive”.

The coach had been suspended shortly after his materials became public pending an internal investigation by FBC Engelholm and Sylwander said it wasn't expected that he'd be able to come back so easily, according to the paper.

However, Sylwander told HD that there were many reasons the coach was allowed to return, despite the fact that the man clearly had made a mistake.

“Many in the club place a lot of trust in him, not in the least among the players and the parents, which counts for something,” Sylwander said to HD.

Since the incident became known, the club has created a work group between the board, the parents and the area floorball association, to avoid anything similar to happen again.

So far they have met with sports and gender scholar Jesper Fundberg from the Malmö University and started devising an action plan against sexist behaviour.

"This has hit the club rather hard and we are treating it very seriously," said Sylwander to HD.

The man is now back coaching the 14-year-old boys.

"As far as I know, he started coaching the team again this week," Sylwander confirmed to HD.

I think warning will do especially when the parent of the girls still have confidence in him. he could have done it in bad faith. languages like these are very common in the military and may be british football.

get on with it please

If there was ever a way for boys to remember tactics, this would be it..

Is it only seen as sexist because he didn't use any boys names and those with gender issues feel left out? I don't see anything sexist about it, had he used boys names, i'm sure many more of the boys would have felt more uncomfortable and more complaints with

"Peter" meanwhile, "scratches, bites and likes to dominate" and "gets in the mood when you are aggressive".

If these comments are seen as sexist, then every book that describes men or women in a situation, or romantic novel is sexist and should be burnt.

The only thing wrong is he was using theseexpressions to 14yr old kids.

The only thing wrong is that we are in the most politically correct country of the Galaxy, a country where even what the politically correct government does not it, makes them sick. Let's face it. You have to train teens in a 100% polite way so they become "sissis" as soon as possible in the name of politically correctness. Give me a break!

so.. is it now Spank the boys?

There is absolutely no excuse for this behaviour, i.e. a coach and his supporters trying to pass off a pattern of offensive sexist references as "motivational" and reinstating him without having already required training to determine if he is willing or able to change.

It has nothing to do with being "politically correct" and everything to do with misogyny.

So much for the myth of gender respect/equality. No wonder the glass ceiling and violence against women persist.

This guy obviously needs counselling to change his approach. The kind of comments he is reported to have used are unnecessary and absurd
12:09 March 2, 2012 by RobinHood
I think he should be charged, prosecuted, and executed and then his ashes should be flushed down a toilet. All his children should be castrated to ensure his evil seed will not be passed on to pollute future generations. Any parents of children who bear his name should change them to something less awful: like Adolf Hitler or Anders Breivik The entire Swedish population should receive free counselling to help them recover from the shock of this abominable event.

"I don't see anything sexist about it" LOL and there's nothing racist about the KKK either. Just PC ni***rs?
15:46 March 2, 2012 by Vill
I imagine this would not have happened if the coach simply used the word "hen" instead of "her" and used androgenous names such as "Pat". The coach would also have been wise to name the strategy "excessively-high-temperature-young-organisms-on-defense" rather than "hot babes on defense".

Have you heard, read or studied about the violence against men performed by women? Obviously not. Do some research. You can use Internet, that is, if you know how to use it.

If respecting women makes a man a "sissy", then it's in a man's best interest to be a "sissy"...unless he's gay.
