All they have to do is join the 4.5 million sensible Seedes who don't use Facebook!
Having said that, modern technology is very nice and can be very convenient but it's not more than just a tool - a means to an end, not the end itself.
But it has been a known fact that all aspects of the internet, whether social networks, forums, chatrooms, messengers, gaming sites, etc., can and are addictive to many people worldwide, not just Sweden. In fact, there are some mental health institutions in the USA, that I have heard of that have set up specific groups/therapy for such addictions, years ago. So it's not just a problem for Swedes, but for anyone with addictive tendencies as well as many people in general in which this can become an issue for.
@dizzymoe33, as to ur concerns about ur personal business being open to the entire world, that does not have to be the case. FB has privacy settings now that enables one to share what info they want with whom. One can make some, all, or none of their info available to the world. If one wants to only add their closest friends and/or family to their friends list, then only they can see what you want them to see. And even with that, u can select certain of those friends to see only certain things as well. Many options available. Then again it's up to you if you share personal information or not.
I am a regular FB user but max 15 mins a week I reckon. I keep in touch with family and friends abroad...
