Swedish police uncovered what appears to be a prostitution ring in Fittja, a suburb south of Stockholm, arresting two men on suspicion of kidnapping.

"They're being interrogated right now," said police spokesman Richard Andersson to news agency TT on Saturday morning.

The two men, both from Stockholm, are 19 and 20 years of age, reported national newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN).

In the raid, police also liberated two teenage girls, 16 and 17 years old, whom they suspect were being held captive against their will for sexual purposes.

"Two young girls have been used in what looks like a prostitution ring. We're trying to uncover the background story," said Richard Andersson.

It remains unclear how long the girls had been held captive.

"We don't know yet," said Andersson.

The police is unwilling to disclose any more details about the arrest at present, and Andersson wouldn't describe the place where the girls had been held.

The raid occurred following a tip to the police.

I bet anything these two men will not get more than 6 months in the can!?. They judge will determine that since they girls show no signs of mental torture that no crime has been committed.

Hang them or give them a few decades. The Swedish system is far too light. They'll be back on the streets getting more victims in a matter of months.

there must surely be a bigger ring involved. 19 and 20 years old. I would hardly think they are anything more than message boys.....

I have a strange feeling that the men involved in this will not be Swedes. And you can put that down to a lifetime's experience.

Yes, the Swedish system in many cases is far too lenient and the American system far too barbaric.

I'm just as anti-Muslim immigration as you can get, but I have a feeling these are Swedes (real ones). I could be wrong.
