"2 teens charged in slaying of 6-year-old in Little Village
Two teenagers were charged with the murder of a 6-year-old girl in Little Village who was likely caught in the middle of a gang shooting, police said Sunday. ..."
That's tops for Chicago news this weekend.
"to each his own"
You can't expect too much from a new source which also has a story titled;
"Busty Swede 'loses' boob in mud wrestling mishap"
However, today's top Chicago breaking news stories are;
"Body found in car trunk on West Side"
"Man gunned down outside Lawndale home"
"Police question 2 in slaying in West Humboldt Park"
"Maywood man found fatally shot in alley"
"Eight held, injuries reported during Ford Heights melee"
"Prosecutors: Man shoots at crowd, wounding 2, after sister gets in fight"
"1-year-old and mother suffer graze wounds in South Side shooting"
"Slain 6-year-old girl among 5 shot within an hour in Chicago"
"16 shot, 1 dead, in overnight violence"
"Morning bank robbery in Wicker Park"
"Prisoner shot during escape attempt in Rolling Meadows"
"Police: Man exchanges gunfire with CHA guard"
"3 charged in connection with Wednesday night West Side shootout"
And that's just today, and they don't publish everything here because there just isn't space or time, so, in a way, I guess I'd be happy to live someplace where the news had space for whimsical tales instead of a constant stream of death and destruction.
One man's tart is another man's and another's and another's... :)
#11,
I agree. He's obviously no fisherman. :(
#13,
Run away. Run far far away! Chicago's been horrible for centuries. The Indians probably cursed it when the government "removed" them. (I know I would have.)
Na, it's amazing how you can be 3 miles from the violence and never see it except on TV or the news.
They aren't done with the weekend tally yet apparently but as of now it stands at;
"At Least 10 Dead, Dozens Wounded In Weekend Violence"
I will happily pinch his girl but not that into jewellery really.
Two things you left out:
"You can find these stories in Section P / pg.17-18" (it's not even news in Chitown)
and
Headlines:
"Rahm Emanuel saves Chicago with higher tax rate on the working"
"60% of the people in Chicago turn off Wheel of Fourtune to go get check."
Sub story;
Rahm caught on open mike talking to Detroit mayor, "We want to be just like you!"
"60% of the people in Chicago loot convience stores"
