A woman from northern Sweden who had her mobile phone stolen at the weekend was later horrified to find naked pictures of herself posted on her own Facebook page.

The 21-year-old ex-phone owner was out at a bar in Sundsvall, northern Sweden, on Saturday evening when she discovered her phone had been stolen, according to Sundsvall Dagbladet newspaper.

Her mobile telephone was in the back pocket of her trousers, which made easy pickings for the thief’s light fingers.

The thief took the opportunity to pilfer the phone, but wasn’t finished there.

Upon discovering that the woman had an unlocked phone with no password, the burglar took the pleasure of scrolling through the 21-year-old’s private pictures, which included several naked images of the woman.

Taking the snooping one step further, the telephone-taker discovered that the woman’s personal Facebook page could also be signed into without a password.

It all proved too tempting for the thief, who proceeded to upload the woman’s naked pictures onto her own Facebook site.

The woman was made aware of the incident and managed to remove the pictures, yet it remains unknown if the images spread further, according to B-O Hägglund of the Sundsvall police.

The police have labelled the crime as theft and sexual harassment; however the thief is still unidentified and remains at large.

Farking idiot.

And I don't mean the thief.
12:38 March 27, 2012 by joeyt
The thief remains at large, since the current technology cannot locate a mobile phone. I guess in the end smart phones are making everybody dumber, not only their owners.
12:43 March 27, 2012 by karex
People really should take security more seriously these days, particularly when dealing with technology. It was just too easy for the thief. I hope that the lady learned her lesson now.

If you're going to take naked pictures of yourself and keep them on your phone then you deserve all that happens when you've taken no care about securing the handset. First, this woman was carrying it in her back pocket in a public space. She deserves to lose the phone. Second, this woman didn't enable the phone's security system. Now those aren't very secure anyway but they might have prevent access to the information stored on the phone. Third, the woman has her facebook details stored on the phone --- okay so I'm assuming that is the case but it's a reasonable assumption. The theif can now access all the information on the phone and get to the woman's Facebook account. Fourth, the woman has naked pictures of her phone.

Now she's shocked to find that all that has been used and her pictures are available on Facebook. I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. First don't keep naked pictures on your phone. Second, don't have a Facebook app on your phone. Third, utilise the phone's existing security mechanism whether pin or swipe pattern. Fourth, keep the phone physically secure in the first place.

Wow, so a criminal commits a crime and everyone blames the victim.
15:20 March 27, 2012 by Cephalectomy
where can we find the pix ?
15:44 March 27, 2012 by dstergiou
@Migga

There is definitely a crime here, and that is theft. For this crime, the thief must be apprehended and sent to court

The naked pictures posting is NOT a crime - it's plain stupidity from the victim's perspective. So, which crime you want to talk about?

@ Migga

I just couldnt help laughing because i find it ironic as well. It is more like "a criminal commits a crime and victim is the guity party"

@Cephalectomy

am sure if u search facebook,you might be lucky...lol

Her friends on facebook must have had a blast
