Several injured in Malmö gang brawl

Several people with connections to Malmö’s underworld were hospitalized late Wednesday night after knife-wielding thugs kicked off a fight in the city.

“All the injured are part of an underworld faction,” said Anders Kristersson of the Malmö police to local paper Sydsvenskan.

According to the paper, a woman was brought in to the emergency room after being hit over the head with a blunt object, following an argument with some gang members.

The woman is previously known to the police in connection to narcotics crimes and fraud.

She reportedly had a grievance against some street gang members from the city and enlisted the help of a male acquaintance to rough them up with a knife.

The fight kicked off some time around midnight in the Fosie district of the city.

On Thursday morning police were still unclear on how many had been stabbed.

The fight had erupted near the police station and officers quickly cordoned off the area to carry out a forensic investigation.

Several people were brought to the emergency room, where there was another altercation, making staff feel threatened enough to press the alarm button.

One man had sustained a serious stab wound to the stomach and underwent surgery over night.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the paper, and he is currently under suspicion for assault.

Police later apprehended another man, at the moment under suspicion of aggravated assault.

“Though this may come to change,” said Erik Jeppson of the Skåne police to Sydsvenskan.

All involved were previously know to police, according to the paper.

This is the kind of society the swedish people want apparently. Organised crime could virtually be wiped out in a few months if the politicians had the will.

Just an idea- If Statistics Sweden and the Police keep good records-MAYBE one day the public will allow an "open season" then with SAAB (see first/kill first) technology they will "ERASE" your "Malmo Problem"

thz city is going from bad to worse. u cant say its becoz of da large population of immigrants.its not just em! besides that, everytime something like thz happen the police say-the suspects were previously known for crimes.why arent thz pple looked after and given serious punishments/fines or even jail terms. their presecence will allow others to copy their path..feel sympathy for all the innocent who lost their loved ones and all da peace-lovers. MÄLMO FOR CHANGE!

Why did the police not just cordon off the area during the gang fight and let happen whatever might?

This would allow those peaceful muslimes to engage in the good ol' muslime past time of murder and mayhem, without the imposition of those pesky Western standards of behavior. Let multi-culturalism reign.

Give it time & Malmo & most of Southern Sweden will become a separate state, the same thing will happen in Southern France and any countries that have mass immigration & Multiculturalism, without integration this is what's gonna happen or worse still war. Look at Serbia & kosovo as an example, you can't argue with history.

I have spent nearly 5 years in Sweden and all I mainly hear in the news is the problems in Malmö. Surely Sweden must now adopt a stricter policy of controlling crime. For example in the US it's three strikes and your out ! Repeat offenders are not tolerated and are adequately punished .. sending the right message to 'would be' offenders that crime will not pay. If we do not get a grip on this issue then I will only sadly see more instances of crime on the streets in Sweden. The country and it's politicians must now seriously look into crime and it's effects on the wider population. IMHO the whole point of coming to this country was the fact that quality of life in Sweden is supposed to be better than say other countries where crime is out of control. Surely Sweden can see logic in this ?
