Politician arrested after sex with disabled woman

A local politician in northern Sweden, working as a disabled transportation driver, has been arrested after he was caught by police while molesting a disabled woman in his vehicle.

The assault, which occurred in Hudiksvall, northern Sweden, in January, was witnessed by police who found the man making his move on the woman in a parked car in the woods, wrote the Aftonbladet newspaper.

The politician, whose day job was as a disabled transportation driver, drove the woman every day and had long been suspected by the woman’s family, who tipped off the police after following the car on the day of the assault.

The woman’s family had previously contacted the Gävleborg county council in December with their suspicions, however no investigation was forthcoming.

It has since come to light that more than one attack took place, and that the 30-year-old woman was subjected to several molestations between September and December last year.

The man, who is reportedly in his fifties, denied the crimes and has claimed that the sexual acts were consensual.

Prosecutor Peter Helsing allegedly wanted to have the man held on the grounds of rape, however the crime has since been labelled as sexual exploitation of a person in a position of dependence.

“Sexual offences against a disabled person and above all someone who is dependent on the suspect are very serious crimes. Even worse when it’s happened several times,” he said to the paper.

He will get the standard 60 hours of community service and will retain his job. These sorts of crimes are not considered serious in the eyes of this sick society.

Could someone please tell me why a politician arrested after sex with disabled woman. A police commissioner secretly filming female officers in the showers. A paedophile running a school despite having a conviction for having sex with a seven year old ect ect. are not named but for a less serious offence (possible considered more serious in Sweden ) like surprise sex between adults sharing a bed you may find your name in all the papers and attacked by the Swedish Prime Minster Reinfeldt in government ?
16:46 April 12, 2012 by Rishonim
@Kloster, exactly. Consensual adult sex will be prosecuted, specially if it is politically motivated while sic bastards can rape, torture and their names will remain anonymous
17:23 April 12, 2012 by slazenger
whats wrong in that?? if they both had consensual sex even if the women was disabled, its hard to see any wrong doing in that. Dont grown up disabled people have needs???
17:37 April 12, 2012 by Crankin8tor
Is this the same guy that molested his female therapist and was sentenced 50 hours of community service?
19:45 April 12, 2012 by dizzymoe33
The family needs to buy a shotgun and go after the bastard!!! Enough said!!
02:41 April 13, 2012 by phil23456
This does not sound like consensual sex, the person was her driver in a position of trust for starters & if it was consensual then why hide in the woods? Also we have no details on the level of the womans disability, is she even able to consent? Does she have an advocate such as a parent or the state? Is she her own legal guardian?

@Slazenger- Of course people with disabilities have needs & sex is usually one of there needs that isn't met but doesn't this sound a little dodgy to you?
