The problem lays under whether they are acting by themselves based on an illusion and/or they did not understand the meaning of being haunted by Evil spirit.
To understand whether yes or no, they should have shown their daughter to a priest who has the power to cast away all Evil spirits from any person and by the way this ritual contain nothing about beating or kicking or or or... it just strong praying that can shake the Evil spirit and make it go out from the obsessed body.
If her parents not educated enough to understand what is really going on and how they should do then this is totally an individual acts away from religion.
Evil spirit exists and it can attack and lives inside any person.
If Swedish politicians really wanted to help, they would contribute to schools, birthcontrol education/access, etc. in these countries.
Re #1, Can we deport Swedish politicians?
It means that you are free to exercise your own rights (speech) and freedoms (religion) unless they infringe upon the rights of another.
The animist 'religion' of superstitious stone-age tribes is theirs to practice up until they harm someone else, even if that someone else is their own child.
Then they must answer to the laws of the society.
You think this isn't happening in your country too? Cases of similar practices have been reported in England recently. I bet if you look in your own country's press you'll find reports of it going on there too.
The religion which inspired the acts in this article is a type of Christianity, though I don't know how regional folk religions may have shaped it.
Why are they here? Are we that desparate for maids and road builders?
You must understand and embrace that which you do not know, or understand.
Somebody brought a demon into Sweden,... however, don't demons have a right to be demonstrative?
Import more demons so that a political party could say diversity is good for the Swedish people!...NOT!
If you import a bunch of people who believe children are often possessed by evil spirits (and need to be physically abused to be 'cured') then guess what?
THEY'RE NOT GONNA STOP BELIEVING THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT AND THEY'RE IN YOUR COUNTRY NOW!
They're gonna start abusing their children as soon as they start thinking they're possessed. This is so blindingly obvious that great doses of mush-headed multi-culturalism are required to dull the knowledge and keep it from conscious awarenewss.
The general rule applies to all groups of immigrants and their cultural practices that are not shared by Swedish society.
But, this is thinking ahead (the worst thing a mult-cultural idealist can possibly do).
We understand now. It takes a " priest" to determine whether or not to torture a 10 y/0 child. If the priest says its okay, then full speed ahead.
@Lavaux
Religion is the source of much of the world's pain and strife, both past and present. Swedish secularism is a blessing (although they do seem to give the Swedish church a free pass). The Catholic church historically (viz. the Inquisition and the crusades) and currently (active attempts to support pedophiles and sexual predators and shield them from punishment) is at the heart of the problem. Religion is no excuse to inflict pain on others.
I don't know if the article photo is accurate. I would have also guessed Catholic. I know Protestant Christians who don't believe in the use of icons/symbols, especially images with Jesus. I've also known Pentecostal Christians, and while their services are definitely interesting, none of the people I knew tried to beat demons from their children. :(
I agree that Sweden's secularism/statism can feel as oppresive as any religion.
It is of no use whatsoever to beat a demon possessed person (although it is useful to restrain them so they are not injured) beating will only please the evil ones no end (that is actually helping them) and the catholic version is more like a circus (totally useless) there is only one name under heaven that is effective and it works every time
demons don't have to listen to you but they must obey the victorious Creator!
it is simply a matter of praying for protection and demanding in Christs name for the evil one/s to leave!
then again in this case it could be simply food intolerance causing the child to feel frustrated and irritable and of course if one feels like this, you are not gonna play nicely .......are you ???
This isn't a story about how the bad people got away with this behavior. It is a story about how their daughter escaped. You made that escape possible.
As long as she lives - which will be much longer than her parents - this girl, eventually woman, will be singing the praises of the country that rescued her. She will be thinking of the children like her, back in her parents' country, that were not so fortunate. She will bless Sweden. And she will want to help those children back in her parents' home.
As much as you may condemn Swedish policy for bringing them here. their presence hasn't changed *your* values. They are still criminals.
And you have still saved their daughter.
You seem reasonably intelligent, Borila, so it's difficult to understand why you believe the Catholic Church is a greater threat to human well-being than the state. Read some history about the crusades, and you'll discover they were fought mostly by states for their own interests and not the Church. Then read about those glorious secular statists Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Pol Pot and the crusades they launched against ... well, anyone they thought threatened the state. Add up the deaths attributable to the crusades and the statists, and you'll be shocked at the difference.
You can have your secular statism, Borila, but you can't have your own facts. As for me, I'll continue looking to my religion for well being while staying out of the state's way lest it crush me, as it has the Johanssons. http://friendsofdomenic.blogspot.se/
Re 20, 27, Spirituality is empowering. Religions often try to control spirituality and contain it within dogma. The state tries to control it by devaluing it and exterminating it. Spirituality empowers individuals. And groups with power do not like empowered individuals.
Re 26, yes it's good that this girl is no longer being beaten. The problem is that Sweden's refugee project, importing people, housing (and/or jailing) people for years, and educating people for years, clothing them, feedng them by the tens of thousands, etc. is funded by the healthcare budget.
Swedish politiicians are killing / have killed and tortured sick people and the elderly to finance their refugee project. I'm sorry Congo is a fcked up place, but I should not have to die or be tortured because people there choose to embrace violent religious practices.
The Swedish state once sterilized "problem" populations in an attempt to purify the Welfare state and keep costs low. Today, instead of sterilization, "problem" populations (i.e. sick people) are left to suffer and die out - to keep costs down. The individual has no say over his or her life. Politicians and their crony doctors are culling the herd.
This child may be safe from exercism and safe for now, but like the rest of us, she is not safe from the Swedish state. If she needs an ambulence will one show up? Will she die on a waiting list? Will she suffer years of pain because the surgery or medication she needs is more than politicians choose to pay for?
Swedish politicans never lament the deaths and torture they intentionally and serially cause in the name of their own dogma.
Swedish secular statism is more oppressive and militant than some fundamentalist religions are.
Some like to call it "secular humanism" to make it sound warm and fuzzy.
Swedish Immigration policy should include clever psychological screening techniques not only to identify and keep out individuals who are filled with religious hate, or the men and brothers who would kill the women in the family for 'disobedience', but also to barr any individuals who are sympathetic to female circumcision, and/or who are stark raving witch-craft practising lunatics.
In all cases the women and daughters and young sons could be given the option to be seperated from the imbecile and terrorist fathers and brothers at the border, and admitted into Sweden as part of a quota of asylum seekers, but any failure to screen out the violent men (and some women) makes the state of Sweden fully complicit, (through negligence) in the crimes these 'family terrorists' later commit on Swedish soil.
Why is the so-called equality minister Nyamko Sabuni not doing more to protect the safety of the girls and women who emigrate to Sweden?
Read again what I wrote you would understand if you can not, so I can not help you.
Full speed a head over what !! to tell prying over him !! so what !! let it be it wont harm anyway..and yes he can determined if god implanted in him the power so cast a way all evil. aggressiveness bla bla bla hoax all these are INDIVIDUAL ACTS nobody says or pushes to do so whether he/she obsessed or not.
