REFLECTIONS OF A TWITTER VIRGIN…. »
"I confess to having been reluctant to embrace Twitter. But I confess myself a bit of a convert. The great TV critic Clive James once said about “Dallas”, “I came to mock but I stayed to pray”. I wouldn’t go that far, but I have found my first two weeks on Twitter (@hmapauljohnston) both fun and informative. It’s been..." READ »

I suspect short prison sentences are related to State rationing. So why can't we have self-sustaining prisons? With Sweden's wealth of land, prisoners can chop their own wood for heat, grow a large percentage of their own food, and knit their own sweaters, hats, and socks. Surplus wood, produce, livestock can be sold to cover overhead. Prisoners can work for their room and board, just as well as we can.
im so confused..
As usual (this is getting boring) he claimed to have forgotten the murder, in line with what most other murderers here say.
A key piece of information here is that the killer surfed the web before he committed the crime to confirm that his murder conviction here in violent-criminal-loving Sweden would indeed result in a relatively trivial sentence, and with only a pitiful sum to be paid as a fine to the mudered victim's family. If this web surfing item does not prove the utter lack of deterence against violent crime within the Swedish justice system, then I don't know what does.
In the Swedish language, "justice" is synonymous with "equality". Sweden's "justice" system is indeed a tribute to equality.
It's not so much that as disinterest in the victim (who cannot change) and horrible fascination with the criminals (who with enough love and care from Nanny Sverige) might become.... ever so slightly less violent.
If he just leaves his next victim where he killed them instead of dumping them in a lake that's progress worth celebrating! It's proof the Swedish system works!!!!
These prison sentences handed out by the Swedish courts are ridiculous.
