Stockholm police have arrested several teenage boys suspected of gang raping an underage girl and filming the act.

The boys were arrested on Monday and taken in for questioning over the incident.

"A preliminary investigation into aggravated child rape has been launched," prosecutor Mikael Karlsson told the Expressen newspaper.

Karlsson refused to confirm how many boys were suspected for taking part in the rape, which is believed to have occured in a Stockholm suburb in late February or early March.

He also refrained from divulging the ages of the suspects beyond saying that several were younger than 15-years-old, the age of criminal responsibility in Sweden.

"I can't say how many people have been questioned. All who have asked for legal representation are younger than 15," Karlsson told the paper.

According to Expressen, the boys are believed to have filmed the incident.

The recording has since been obtained by police and constitutes the bulk of the evidence gathered against the boys.

Because the matter involves a sex crime with both suspects and a victim under the age of 15, few details have yet to emerge about the case.

According to Expressen, a similar incident took place in 2010 in which a 14-year-old girl was raped by five young perpetrators who also filmed the attack.

The boys were sentenced to youth community service and court ordered care after being convicted of aggravated rape and sexual molestation.

If the Swedish authorities are consistent then the names of the perpetrators will soon leak out.

"The boys were sentenced to youth community service and court ordered care after being convicted of aggravated rape and sexual molestation."

Glad to see such harsh punishment of the earlier incident helped dissuade other kids from committing a subsequent attack...oh...wait...

I think those little boys need to be relieved of their testicles.

No worries, the father of the girl will revert to his Viking roots since the Swedish system is horribly flawed in regard to punishment. The plus side for him will be that he will see little jail time, because he will have been mentally distraught when he beats the daylights out of these little turd burgers who irrevocably ruined his daughter's life.

'Community service' ??? What the f*** is that all about???

They should be made to do it for a whole year at least.
14:40 April 24, 2012 by Achilles7
Community service? Those who were convicted in 2010 should have been thrown in jail for at least a year and given nothing but bread and water. Maybe then they would think twice about their actions next time...

@Happy Expat

Or, as happened in an adult rape case in England this week, people will simply tweet the name of the victim and write personal abuse about her.

Community service. Really. 10 years in jail is more appropriate.

I was asked today what made me laugh, I could only answer the Swedish legal and justice system. I only wish the swedish people would grow some testicles and show more vigilante justice as its only going to get worse over the next 10 years.

We need to bring back hard labor.

A large rock and a small hammer. Your food ration is proportional to the amount of gravel you produce.

There are several prisons in the USA built by the convicts who quarried the stone from the hill behind the prison.

The penalty for cross-racial multi-rape should be organ-stripping, whatever the ages of the perpetrators.

What a terrible shame - a young girl violated by these little monsters. They were well aware of what they were doing. The gang leader should be jailed for a long time and the other participants should get jail time too and all should be put on a sex offenders list for life. Rape is an offence that is repeated often, sadly.

Wot's the bet that the gang is made up of "non-western" males the euphemism & Politically Correct label for Moslems?

Sweden isn't exactly the rape Capital of Europe for nothing is it?

How's the multi-culturalism & diversity working out?
