Swedish women more prone to lose libido over flatulence fears

One in three Swedish women say no to sex due to the fear of farting during the act, according to a new report, while men are only half as likely to forego sex over concerns about breaking wind.

The study, which was commissioned by pharmacy chain Kronan and Swedish research company Novus, found that some 30 percent of women surveyed had said “thanks, but no thanks” to sex due to their gassy stomach, wrote daily Aftonbladet.

Only 15 percent of men made the same claim, however.

Bert Karlsson, a celebrated Swedish 66-year-old record company manager and former politician, was quizzed by the paper on the statistics, and claims to have never used the excuse of a gassy stomach.

“No, above all, I never have problems with my stomach,” he told the paper.

However, discussing such problems at home proves to be less of a problem for Swedes, with some 36 percent of them saying that they talk about such issues with their family.

Meanwhile, in terms of actually passing the gas, fifty percent of the Swedes interviewed said they had no problem with letting one fly in front of their partners.

“Having sex is not something that goes well with breaking wind. That’s the most off-putting thing there is,” quipped Karlsson to Aftonbladet.

Myself, its good to make my stank durin sex coz then ther girl will leave after and I can go out with my boyz. That's cool. There ain't no better way to get her gone than blast off. What's the definition of eternity, the time between when you come and she leave. Git nice and stanky and she be gone in 5! Then you can be at the club gettin some more.

Yeah, what an article. Especially since this phenomenon is caused by air in the intestines, not in the stomach for sure :) In that case, you'd burp! :D

Actually not all farting during sex is farting! Those who know will tell you that after a good DS...some farting follows, but not from the usual place! whew!

I think I would take a chance on my girl breaking wind during sex. However, I can understand the girl not wanting to no more than I would want to at this delicate moment. There is far more pleasant music to make love to not to mention the assault on other senses. But we all heard the term 'Wham! Bam! thank you Mam!' Now we know what the Bam was.

They're worried because a good fart might dislodge the stick that so many seem to have! :)
