US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Sweden, Denmark, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey in a weeklong trip starting May 31st, her spokeswoman said Friday.

The tour will kick off in Copenhagen, where Clinton will meet senior Danish officials before traveling the next day to Oslo and give a keynote address at a global health conference.

On June 3rd, Clinton will travel to Stockholm for meetings with Swedish officials to discuss green energy, internet freedom, Afghanistan and the Middle East, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said in a statement.

"The secretary will travel to the Caucasus from June 4th to 7th. In all these countries, she will discuss important issues of regional security, democracy, economic development and counterterrorism," the statement added.

In Armenia on June 4th, the Secretary will meet with President Serzh Sarkisian and other senior Armenian officials. She will also meet with Armenian civil society leaders.

On June 5th, Clinton will open the US-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission plenary session in Batumi, Georgia, and the following day will travel to Azerbaijan to meet with President Ilham Aliyev.

The trip will end with Clinton co-chairing the Global Counterterrorism Forum ministerial meeting in Istanbul, where she will also discuss foreign policy challenges, including Syria and Iran, with senior Turkish officials.

I believe Hillary Clinton is standing down after the forthcoming presidential elections (?) Maybe she is updating her 'database' on the international situation before metaphorically handing it over to her successor?

To some, she is a somewhat controversial figure, arousing strong views. One of the best ever biographies of her was Carl Bernstein's 'A Woman In Charge' - which deals fairly with her life and career.

The Secretary of State is still the best foreign 'minister' the US administration has under President Barack Obama.

Perhaps she is coming to look at the insider ways and means to get Assange to Sweden quicker.....

Don't kid yourself. Bill forced her to make this totally useless trip. He wants to meet blond babes. Ha ha for you, Sweden!

As far as Hillary's time being soon up, it should be of no surprise as first termers rarely continue with the 2nd administration. Hillary's success is too much for some. Sounds like sour grapes from the right. I along with so many believe she has and does a superb job as Sec. of State!

As far as "Hillary" there is not two cents difference in Her policies than Obama's,they are both left wing fruit cakes.

Too, too coincidental! Madame Clinton is visiting to demand from the Swedish government the extradition of Julian Assange. The Swedish government is a stoolie for the Americans and will bow and scape to them every chance they get. Just watch and see if I'm not 100% correct.

Hillary Clinton could care less about Julian Assage charges made by two swedish whores looking for attention and extradition to sweden by the phony corrupt swedish court

What exactly about internet freedom will she be discussing? More or less of it?
