Swedish man bloodied in mystery axe attack

A man in his twenties was attacked with an axe on Monday night, prompting police in central Sweden to launch a manhunt to apprehend the perpetrator.

The victim was left bloodied after his back was sliced by the axe following an altercation of some sort which took place in central Borlänge in Dalarna County.

"He was hit in the back with an axe," duty officer Sven Matzols of the Dalarna police told the local dt.se news website.

"We don't know exactly what happened."

Several police cars and an ambulance arrived at the scene of the attack, which took place around 10pm on Monday night on Norrskensgatan in central Borlänge.

The man was then rushed to hospital in nearby Falun where he was treated for his injuries.

While the victim's condition remained unclear late Monday night, he was able to speak with police and his injuries aren't considered to be life threatening.

However, he wasn't able to provide police with many clues about what prompted the attack.

"We didn't get much new information," said Matzlos.

Police continued to hunt for the perpetrator throughout the night and into Tuesday morning, but had yet to make any arrests for the case.

According to police, the axe attack, while not fatal for the victim, has been classified as a case of attempted murder.

The leftists and the other ignorant must realize that guns, kitchen knives, tree branches, bar stools, beer bottles, bricks, rocks and rubber chickens do not kill people. People and groups of people who place little value on life kill people! Sweden is much like every other developed country. You only see this as a Swedish problem as reporting of news on this topic in Sweden is titillating. Other countries suppress news on this topic. Sweden's media does however self-suppress news with the encouragement of the state which supplements the media income with regards to news items that are contrary to the current leftist politically correct policies.

Get your mind together and look at the big picture. -Paul

Are you on drugs? The majority of media (the major newspapers and film and TV production companies) in Sweden are controlled by right-wing interests. Do a Google search on the Bonnier Group and Schibsted and learn some facts instead of spouting some insane conspiracy theories.

Well, they don't mention knife and Axe attacks much in Chicago, but we are coming off a banner weekend in town;

"...Despite coming off a bloody holiday weekend in Chicago that saw 10 people shot and killed and close to 40 others wounded, Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said the department's strategy to curb gang violence throughout the city is working..."

I think the strategy is to just let them kill each other.

You have obviously never read a Bonnier publication or a Swedish newspaper.

My point 'being' is that you are wrong, willfully blind or deliberately deceptive! Pick one, it matters little as I doubt you fool anyone. -Paul

#7: that's cute.

How about giving some actual examples (url links preferred) of "leftist politically correct policies" in Swedish news media?
01:03 June 1, 2012 by entry
@Tarc the Mexan go to the front page of the online Expressen newspaper or any of the major dailies and hold your breath for me to find the time to point out that what you consider centrist is actually leftist. Be careful of that politically correct mine field that you will stubble into the lefties would not want you to become knowledgeable. They like you just as you are.
01:30 June 1, 2012 by Tarc the Mexan
#9: sorry, that won't fly. Can you actually point out any specific "leftist politically correct" articles or are you physically incapable of putting actions behind your words?
02:58 June 1, 2012 by entry
Tell it to the marines Tarc. I thought I told you to hold your breath and wait!

let me guess the assailant will not get any time, just a little rehabilitation?

Perhaps it's time to ban the sale of axes. [/sarcasm]
