Hillary Clinton ‘thrilled’ with Sweden visit

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent a busy Sunday in Stockholm, meeting with politicians and members of the Swedish royal family and discussing climate change, global warming, and the thrill of being in Sweden.

After arriving in Sweden on Saturday night, Clinton kicked off her Sunday with Carl Bildt and defense minister Karina Endtrom for a tour of Stockholm’s archipelago, discussing developments in the Middle East and the future of Afghanistan.

At 2pm, Clinton met with environmental minister Lena Ek and the Crown Princess Victoria at Stockholm’s Fotografiska Museet, where she told the Princess that she was “thrilled to be here”, wrote the TT news agency.

After, Clinton led a press conference in the museum discussing climate change and global warming, as well as detailing plans for a joint environmental campaign.

“Sweden is a global leader when it comes to climate issues,” said Clinton, according to TT.

She went on to announce plans for the US and Sweden to combat Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCP).

According to Clinton, SLCPs are responsible for some 30 percent of global warming, and are not only dangerous to humans and agriculture, but can save lives if they are reduced.

“Today, Sweden and the US are launching a global campaign to reduce the lack of knowledge about SLCP,” she said.

“This is what we call a win-win situation.”

After the conference, the Secretary of State met with Prime Minister Reinfeldt and discussed the economic crisis in Europe and the situation in Syria.

Clinton’s visit marks the first time a US Secretary of State has been in Stockholm since 1976 when Henry Kissinger visited Stockholm for a day in May.

After a weeklong visit to Scandinavia, Clinton left Sweden on Monday morning bound for Armenia.

The US to take a joint lead? That's got to be a joke. If the USA was that keen towards any environmental issue, then why has it been the main stubbling block over any of the environmental summits in the past the decade forming any binding agreements. What about long term pollutants? Carbon emission? Water pollution? If SLCP are only responsible for 30% why not target the bigger 70%, even if you are only 50% successful(ie. 35%) it's better than totally irradicating SLCPS. It's a joke. The USA continues to claim it will make it uncompetitive to go green, then China and India say if the USA doesn't do it why should we? Perhaps this the USAs big chance to take the lead in something that's for global benefit rather than just it's own! I will wait with baited breath to see what binding measures this actually leads to and what percentage the USA actually reduces any of it's emissions by.

But... The articles about Clinton's visit printed in the USA state that the purpose of her trip is to tap and explore this region's oil, gas, and mineral deposits.

It is clear that the Obomatron was not the CHANGE the USA needed!

Maybe that environmental campaign (going green) is about the USA greenback dollar.

After being married to Bill it does not take much to "thrill" her !!

PM Sweden to US Secretary of State HC: "What nice lips you have... I'd like to kiss them. Would you mind?" Answer: "I would be thrilled, oh PM you are evil..." Haha.

Is it really necessary to close off the E4 just because this woman wants to go to Arlanda. She could get the Arlanda express just like everyone else.

Good Lord, she wastes a trip to Sweden (amid Europe's financial crisis) talking about global warming? People think there is no cost to being stupid and wrong--and that we should pursue expensive C02 reduction strategies "just in case" global warming is a truly catastrophic threat--but there is a clear cost to all this: instead of giving our attetion to real problems, we are wasting our time on fake problems and the real problems persist.

I'm sure her trip had nothing to do with the decision by the UK court to allow the extradition of Assange to Sweden.

Madame Secretary Clinton is in town to do more than discuss climate change. She is there to demand the extradtion of Julian Assange should Sweden get its conspiratorial hands on him.

Read a humorous line about Hillary on Facebook recently. DM says, " Madame Secretary Clinton has been cheated on more than a blind woman playing Scrabble with a bunch of Gypsies".

While the world economies are in recession causing millions of people to fall into proverty, Comrade Clinton is pushing the fraud of Global Warning.
