In April only 50 percent of Swedes considered the current centre-right government to be doing a good job, but a recent poll shows voters’ confidence has buoyed back up to 56 percent, breaking this year’s negative trend.

Still, at the end of the day it's only the election results that matter! Hopefully we can say buy buy to the Alliance then.
The only reason people like the little bald dude is because the alternative coalition is such a pathetic joke. SD will probably get a lot of protest votes in the next election. I predict they will have between 9 and 10% of the vote.
What Greece is today the European Union will be tomorrow.
The government hasn't, as you say, "steered Sweden to the position of being arguably the strongest European economy.". What success it can claim has been built upon what went before as it basically demolishes the foundations that made Sweden as success in the first place! We wont really get the full effect of the damage that this current government has done till much later. Scientist have done a great deal of research into why certain countries have healthier population, that live longer etc. than other countries. Sweden, at one time, was given as an example of a country that had done things right but not any more. Sweden has stated to go backwards in so many ways.
