REFLECTIONS OF A TWITTER VIRGIN…. »
"I confess to having been reluctant to embrace Twitter. But I confess myself a bit of a convert. The great TV critic Clive James once said about “Dallas”, “I came to mock but I stayed to pray”. I wouldn’t go that far, but I have found my first two weeks on Twitter (@hmapauljohnston) both fun and informative. It’s been..." READ »

would have been funny, if he had been sitting with a girl talking to her. and then she would have said "so are you going to stockholm". "woa.. no no..not sweden of course".
and the girl ..thinkin... MORON :) you expect to land somewhere else :D hahahaha
> Upon arrival in Sweden, the situation was promptly rectified, and the budget airline sent Donachie back to London, provided him with a free night in a hotel, and then redirected him onwards to Biarritz.
This is the TRUTH about Ryan Air. They suffer from so many rumours of people saying bad things. People refuse to believe that you can actually fly for as cheap as £10-20. Sure you have to pay more if you want checked in baggage etc, but these are optional. On other airlines you are always forced to pay even if you don't want to check in bags.
I once had a suitcase that broke on a Ryan Air flight. The handle came off. They agreed to the value of the bag 450 SEK but refused to send me credit for that amount. Instead they sent me double (900 SEK) in Ryan Air vouchers towards my next flight.
As for the naming of airports. I totally understand why Skavsta is Called Stockholm South and Västerås is called Stockholm West. It implies that there a direct bus service to Stockholm to and from every flight. This way if you want to go to Stockholm you are not confused by having to discover for yourself if you should fly to Säve, Karlstad or Skavsta.
I think Ryan Air deserves more praise, hope this story goes viral.
I travel in Ryan air quite frequently, and not even once did I had trouble with them.
Afterall, the airlines are quite busy, which shows people are using it. But then again :) sometimes people complain just for fun, yes wrong it is but we do :)
