Violent criminals get significant injuries at an alarming rate. Once injured they are taken to the Emergency Department(ED). Often their "friends" follow them to the ED in an attempt to finish the job(ie kill them). The ED of a major hospital is the epicenter of violent activity.
As reported, the police were needed on site not just the first night in the ED, but on the second night as well when armed gunmen returned to the hospital. The police need to be on site at all times. The idea that you can summon the police, as needed, is quaint, but very very unrealistic and foolish.
This PC crap is just ridiculous ... "we can't let people know they're not ethnic Swedes because that might reinforce the perception that immigrants are causing problems." News flash ... that's what everyone automatically thinks when the names are withheld ... sometimes it's not even correct, but what else are people supposed to think? Do everyone a favor and treat all ethnicities the same when it comes to reporting facts ... you're not doing anyone any favors by selectively censoring what information the reader is given.
