'Rausing lay dead for three weeks': report

Police suspect that Eva Rausing, wife of Tetra Pak heir Hans Kristian Rausing, lay dead in her London flat for three weeks before her body was found, according to recent media reports.

British newspaper The Sunday Times has spoken with Eva Rausing's younger sister Be, who began to panic when she hadn't heard from her sister in some time, and travelled to London in an attempt to contact her.

"I banged on her bedroom door for a week. Now I think she was lying in there. Dead."

The last contact Eva Rausing had with her family was reportedly a text message send on 3 May. When the family was unable to reach her, her sister decided to fly to London in early June.

"The housekeeper let me in and I went upstairs to her bedroom and I was knocking on the door and texting her and calling out to her and there was no reply," Be said to the British paper Mail on Sunday.

After a week of fruitless attempts at contact, Be finally flew back to America.

"My father wrote to Hans saying Eva was missing and that she had said if that ever happened, he must contact the police."

Hans Kristian Rausing, Eva Rausing's husband and heir to the Tetra Pak fortune, has been arrested on suspicion of her murder, but according to reports in the Aftonbladet daily newspaper is still hospitalized, and police have so far been unable to interrogate him.

The Sunday Times reported that Hans Kristian is being treated with methadone, a synthetic drug used to treat heroin addicts.

Friends and family of the couple, who met in an addiction clinic, have been trying to get them off drugs for years, but to no avail.

"Eva’s parents tried, the Rausings tried, friends tried. It seemed like anyone who ever knew them staged some sort of intervention but nothing helped. The reality is they were both very, very serious addicts and addiction is a progressive disease," said a family friend to the Mail on Sunday.

Its is amazing how people of the same age can live such amazingly different lives. Hand Kristian Rausing is the same age as I am. He has worked for Tetra Pak in Sweden as I have...well that is untill I was laid off and I have actively persued a racial dicrimination court case againist Tetra Pak for the last 9 years in Kenya, with the UN Global Compact in New York and with the Omdundsman for Racial Discrimination in Sweden as well as the European Court of Justice.

While I am using every cent I can get pursuing justice againist Tetra Pak, Hans Kristian is using his fortune to purchase drugs..............owning multiple homes etc.......what a life? What a contrast?

Court documents are availabe for anybody interested in this matter.

I can be reached on cmuthama@yahoo.com or mobile 254 721 435268

What a life

@Muthama. this is a forum for people to comment on issues at hand. You are bringing up an issue that is purely personal. I sympathise with your position and wish you good luck with your court case.

i am writing to you as a friend to pursue your case outside of TL. If people like @ Nydag and co should see your mail, you will regrett ever doing so. I must also add that though Hans was on drug, he must studied and worked hard to get to where he is. if not tetra pak will not be still existing till today. people on drugs are not mad people. Pls let us show sympathy to them.

So her sister traveled all the way from the US to check on her, but does not go the final step to breaking down her bedroom door?... knowing full well from her history that she may have overdosed behind that door... strange.

Be British, be sincere and be bold »

"Sweden is a veritable smorgåsbord for UK business. I see our work as a bit like a kind of dragon’s den for both for larger and smaller British companies. It is about matching the UK companies, not with cash, but with Swedish market opportunities." READ »
