"weekend full of drunkenness and fights" and a few folks running naked in public ended up getting caught in the wrong bed and needed an alabi for their so called signifigant others,
it's the swedish way, even the police don't take it that seriously.
I fully agree with you. It's disgusting.
--"We can't be naive", said Kapteijn--
Oh the irony....
What is the definition of bieng drunk anyway ????... If just the consumption of alcohol is drunkenness, well then tommorow anyone can just drink a can of bear, rob a bank or kill someone and then claim.. Oh sorry i was drunk! :S
In addition, excluding the case where a girl was raped in a park. Does anyone know the circumstances of the other rapes? Seriously. Is there no chance that these rapes were the case of "I was too drunk and you should have known it, although you also were drunk"?
There are HUNDREDS of cases like this that are dropped by the court in Sweden. As a matter of fact, Sweden is nr.1 in REPORTING rape, but is average in EU in CONVICTING for rape. That shall mean something.
Mere reporting a rape does not mean that the rape indeed happened. Courts shall decide that.
A person should be able to stumble around drunk and dressed in whatever way they want and not be the victim of a crime. We must create a society where people identify with eachother and if someone finds a person in a vurnerable state they would want to take care of that person, not take advantage of that person.
but,
you can't rape the willing!
When the beer buzz wears off , guilt sets in,and spouses hear of the scandals spread about the next day,it starts getting interesting!
Fyi, there's a free, pink, safe-for-women taxi (Jentetaxi) in Oslo this summer as part of an effort to combat outdoor rapes, most-to-all of which are committed by immigrant men.

Please remember also that Sweden's rationed health care has a shortage of nurses trained to properly help rape victims. Rape victims are often not offered STD tests or invited for follow-up health care visits or therapy.
Most rapes in Sweden, are actually committed by white, native males, just a fact.
"A person should be able to stumble around drunk and dressed in whatever way they want and not be the victim of a crime"
Actually, MOST of crimes are by known person and mostly the reason is behavior and not a dress-code of the person.
I was writing about hundreds cases dismissed where a female DID invite or DID NOT object sex and then reported them as rape because "I did not know what I was doing". Again, these are the majority of cases where reported crimes and convicted criminals amounts differ.
Hundreds of females in Sweden have second thoughts about sex and dilute the gravity of real rape cases to other women. It is coming to a situation where a guy must have a lawyer present during sex, as well as "Alcolock" attached to his penis.
Re 20, The point is that it is an abuse of human rights for the state to use MY tax money to import, house, feel, clothe, etc. men who attack and rape primarily women (primarily of western culture). Women have a right to exist in the public sphere without being stalked, attacked, and called whores, etc.
I just re-read what I wrote and obviously the REASON for rape is always the existence of a rapist. What I meant is that rapists are REASONING the rape with an excuse of the victims behavior.
Now in regards to stumbling drunk around town. It is as criminal as saying that my kid has a RIGHT to go into the van of every guy who offered candy to him and actually get candy.
Stumbling half naked around town should not be a factor that relieves the rapist from liability, however the chances to get "drive-by" raped are increasing and a reasonable person should understand it. There ARE sexual predators out there. Even an electric chair will not eradicate them, as this is a mental state that is for some reason not defined as a disease. These predators are triggered by certain behavior and this behavior is not a secret. While the courts should not let them stay with the society, they ARE THERE.
So as a small child understands the dangers connected to adults, women should understand them too, as even a rough sentence to a rapist will not fix the woman after the crime happened.
Other resourses are available.
I'm not excusing anyone here who has ever commited such a horrible offence,I just want to make it clear that this is a cultural problem that pre-dates the arrival of most immigrant groups, like the drinking problems.
It's historical!
I also have friends who have been raped, guess who didn't do it!
I don't give a sxxx if a woman is stumbling around in the middle of the night, drunk out of her mind, and buck naked, that in no way is a signal to go ahead and abuse her, if ANYTHING, it should be a signal to HELP HER, and make sure she he gets home, or to a safe place.
Judging by this thread, it appears that REAL men are in short supply these days.
It's always the asylum seeker/refugee crowd who is doing that on here. Rather than own up to their problem, they instead try to justify it. And then people are called "racist" for not wanting them here. Go figure...
Don't overdo the bravado, get off the pedestal you're on. Swedish women have undergone some sort of metamorphosis in the last ten years or so. They have been accorded privileges that would make even US women envious. It is now so easy to point the finger at a man and scream rape in Sweden now. How difficult can it be for a man to defend himself when every finger is pointing at him? Rape in Sweden has an entirely different definition here. In the rest of the western world is is defined as a act of violence. Here it is defined as even a crime of thought...You even think about it , you have as good as done it.
But then again, the day Sweden criminalized prostitution, it was predicted that rape would soar. Comes as no surprise to me.
The liberal society Sweden used to be is a thing of the past.
Apparently there's an epidemic of those "crimes of thought", not only in Sweden, but throughout the rest of Europe.
