I agree with all those things above and I am offcourse not for to put the baby through a stressful time. However if you think about it this is her sole job to attend events like this and her salary is our tax money. Believe me it is not a small ordinary 9x5 salary we are discussing. If it was you or me we would have been taking maternity leave for less money the first year. After that if your child was standing in the way so you could not do your work you were paid to do it would be taking a holiday, or having a nanny. For sure your company would not say Oh you don't need to work because you have a kid. I know our situations are a bit different however that is the reason why she is paid numerous times over our salaries.
boo hoo. couldnt do a 2 hour flight surrounded by a small army of helpers in first class. my wife did shanghai to sydney in business class with 4 kids under 6 by herself.
but then again she is a highly educated self made woman. not a fat lazy spoilt cow. sucked in sweden shes all yours for after you coughed up 12 million krona for her wedding and a squillion per year for her to waddle from party to party with her nose in the trough. nothing royal about this family at all.
Not to mention the fact that because of the panicers like her, London is deserted, it's probably a great time to visit all the typical London attractions, whilst the crowds are distracted elsewhere.
Otherwise today it would be really a no biggie for her to travel with a baby, billions of women all over the world have been LIVING (and many of them WORKING) with one or more babies, throughout history, also in times of much rougher circumstances than of a Kronprinsess of modern Sweden.
So why isn't she in London doing what we pay her to do, that is, smile, wave and utter a few platitudes that someone else writes for her?
If she won't carry out these minimal responsibilities, she should be fired for derelict of duty..
Going to London to attend Olympic festivities is not a "minimal responsibility" for a new mother.
Choose: crown princess or "just like other Swedish mothers." To want it both ways is the utmost hypocrisy.
Victoria, however, is a Swedish mother - and while we DO pay her to go on events to Represent, she, just like all other Swedish mothers, REGARDLESS of income level, is entitled to time off work for taking care of her baby.
I'm against Monarchy, but I actually respect Victoria; the only member of her family who isn't a complete waste of time, space and money.
#26. I doubt that she spends much time "taking are of her baby." A fleet of nannies do that for her. The baby is mainly a prop for photo ops.
