Hundreds protest over Helsingborg street race ban

Protests broke out on Saturday night outside Helsingborg police station after police stopped illegal 'street racing' in the town.

"Around ten patrols were sent out, and were met with egg throwing and insults," said police commander Mats Hörle.
Five people were arrested following the incident outside the police station. Several are suspected of assaulting police officers and attempted arson.
Street racing is an illegal form of car racing that takes place on public streets, often using cars specially adapted to go faster.
