I'm surprised too.
This behaviour should inspire a prosecutor with at least a LITTLE imagination to find this guy chargeable for reckless endangerement, or willfull neglect causing serious bodily harm, etc..., or something more than the 2 weeks of community service he will face for petty theft if he is ever caught. Hopefully the real charges he will face are in fact a lot more serious, and these have simply not yet been made public. This sack of s---t deserves to rot in hell.
A year or two ago an unemployed (If I recall correctly) New York City man jumped in and saved the life of a fellow New Yorker who had collapsed onto the tracks with only a fraction of a second to spare. When fellow New Yorker Donald Trump heard about this act of bravery and good citizenship, he spontaneously gave the rescuer a massive financial reward, way more than could ever fit in a wallet.
