According to Salman Rushdie it is harder now to criticize islam than it was 20 years ago, and this is from a guy that has been running from a fatwa on his head for a decade.
When will Sweden man up and stand by "i might not agree with what you say but ill defend to the death your right to say it"
Instead we dive into a world where just because a massive group is pissed at something then everyone else is oppressed into silence.
This is the western world i can say christianity sucks as much as i can say islam sucks. And the government should protect my right to say it without fearing persecution and death
how can anyone dare say something against islam even in sweden when the outcome is having to live like Lars vilks ?
And im not even talking about calling mohamed pedophile, i try having conversation with islamic people about religion and i find myself being very diplomatic, and even then i have to find those who have a more open view than most. I fear for the day i say religion is stupid and someguy runs up to me and stabs me.
with that being said there are islamic people that you can talk more openly , but its all the tiptoeing that is scary, and how the western media doesnt dare criticizing it because of fear of retribution and that to me is oppressive.
they claim it is the fastest growing religion in the world but if you stop to talk to some people that call themselves muslims, they do not understand anything about the religion. most people are muslim by birth, they have no say over it and cannot convert to another relgion withoout attracting death. most people understand the violence or be sympathetic to it. the is one the main reason for terrorism. I can never understand how a holy and godly person spend the whole of his time thinkking of how to kill another person. that is beyond my imagination.
if you say christiniaty is bad, I will say that is your opinion and it does not affect anything. Or I will say God bless you.
