Star Wars fan strikes back over Lego letdown

A Lego collector in southern Sweden has been compensated by Swedish Customs after his Star Wars spaceship package was opened by customs officials, drastically devaluing the collectors item.

The package, which had been sent from Hungary, had been opened and inspected by Swedish Customs.
The Lego item was a Star Wars Tantive IV spaceship, which the collector valued at 1,838 kronor ($285), according to the Hallands-Posten newspaper (HP).

According to Swedish Customs, the box had been opened at Arlanda airport in Stockholm after the package's contents remained unknown after an X-ray.
The Tantive IV, also known as the Rebel Blockade Runner, first came to the world's attention in 1977, when Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was released.
The Lego fan claimed a broken seal meant the value of his own ship had decreased to around 1,000 kronor, a difference Swedish Customs agreed to refund.
Customs apologized for the incident, but stressed that investigating mystery packages was a necessary part of the job, according to HP.
