Train cleaner on the road to recovery

The train cleaner who crashed into a Stockholm house last week has finally managed to communicate with her family, as her union considers filing legal action against the train operator.

The 22-year-old cleaner was initially blamed for the crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning which left a Saltsjöbanan train embedded in the side of a house in the suburb of Saltsjöbaden in eastern Stockholm.

Since, a media storm has arisen as companies responsible have scrambled upon realizing the incident may have been an accident.
"In some senses, it’s lucky my daughter wasn’t conscious during this period," the father said.
"We can communicate a little, back and forth, on her condition. She hasn’t spoken about the accident and I don’t think she really understands what has happened yet. We’re letting her set the pace."
While he claimed to initially have felt “annoyed” by the portrayal of his daughter as a thief by media, the father has changed tracks as the story has settled,
“I’ve thought over it and understand that you did your job and reported what SL said," he told Aftonbladet.

"The mistake is more theirs, even if I wish the media could have been clearer that SL wasn't entirely clear about what happened."
The Seko union which is representing the cleaner intends to make a decision on Monday whether to press charges against rail operator Arriva.
