Or Syrian kids for that matter? I think not. Attach the Palestinian name to any thing and guarantee the world will pay attention. You're deluding yourself if you think otherwise, but just to make sure, please list the current sanctions against israel in place by any european or north american nation (arab loony states don't count) for their constant flouting of UN resolutions or breaks in agreements.

This is a stunning picture from a purely photographic point of view - worth making the effort to see the larger version - and very sad from a humanitarian view. As a father, it doesn't matter what colour creed or faith a child is, it's always distressing to see their lights extinguished, and the anguish in their parents eyes. Those of us less full of hate and bile than you feel this when we see images of children from the ghettoes of poland 70 years ago, or the ghettoes of Palestine 7 years ago.

Even though what happened to those children and their father is painful, it's not as untrue as you think what Rishonim and TG22 have denounced. In part this is understandable because people are subjected to media bias. In the U.S., as far as I'm concerned, the media is biased in favour of Israel. Here in Europe, or at least in many European countries, it's just the opposite. That is what explains many topics about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

For example, you mention U.N. resolutions allegedly violated by Israel. What the media hasn't told you (probably) is what Rishonim has implied above: there are many more U.N. resolutions concerning Israel than concerning the Congo, even though the Congo is at war since the 80s, and that war is the worst one in humanitarian terms since the Second World War.

That shows a political bias in U.N. resolutions.

Pretending to compare Israel's treatment of Palestinians with Nazi Germany's treatment of Jews is historically inaccurate and an insult to the people who suffered the Holocaust, indeed.

As an Israeli citizen who live all his life along the border with Gazza, I have some things to say:

1.we bring our children to graveyard far away from the international Camera men ,we do not need them over in our sorrow moment.

2.Since the last Gaza operation we have a relative peacefull days in our cities[after 15 years of continuing bombing on our cities with deads and wounded among us.

3.the solution is not more wars but a political peace agreement a must between the political leaders

4.please leave the civilians out of the conflict in both sides

whilst it may be so that there are more resolutions against israel than the congo (I'll take your word for it, for the moment) you'll have surely noted that many of the resolutions, and certainly the most important, go back far, far longer than the eighties. It's a sad fact, but it is a fact. ok, so curiosity got the better of me, and even I was astonished to see how far they go back. Not all concerned Palestine, but I'm sure you know/knew that.

And there is no need to 'pretend' to compare the nazis treatment of the jews to israels treatment of palestinians, with the exception of the 'final solution' and the fact that war was waged against germany, it's truly sad to see the echoes across the decades. And you are right that the ability to draw such comparisons is an insult to the people who suffered in the holocaust, but for the wrong reasons. I cannot imagine many of the jews of the 1930's or 40's, famed then as now for their compassion as individuals, would be content to see the misery brought upon the heads of those alive today in modern palestine.

Yet, they parents and family don't have time to pose for a Kodak minute as they have to run and dodge the bullets flying over their heads. About the long-term Arab-Israeli conflict, that's the point. The Congo conflict inflicted more casualties than the Arab-Israeli conflict even being the latter much more long-termed. That's more people killed in less time.

The extermination of Jews by Germany and the lack of an extermination of Palestinians by Israel is precisely what makes a clear difference between Israel and the Third Reich.
