'Swedish girls more violent': youth workers

Many Swedish teenager girls are copying traditionally masculine aggression, Swedish youth centre workers at the organization Fryshuset have warned.

Alán Ali, who among other tasks does equality workshops with teenagers at Fryshuset, addressed an audience in Malmö over the weekend.

"I don't mean that women are as violent as men, but that we are seeing a serious negative trend," he told the audience, according to the regional Sydsvenskan newspaper.

"Some girls are adopting destructive masculine ideals and are choosing violence and threats."

Ali referenced gang culture in the US as a comparison and scrawled the words "muscles, self-confidence, loyalty" as key terms within the culture of violence on the white board in the lecture hall.

Sydsvenskan reported that many teachers, youth workers and other professionals working with youth attended the lecture.

There were also teenagers in attendance.

High school student James Olsson said he had seen both girls and boys get into fights at his Malmö school, but also underlined that psychological harassment was worse among the young women.

"It's not alway the physical violence that hurts the most," he said.

"Guys will tell each other when they're angry while girls hide things and then spread rumours, and their victim goes homes and starts self-harming when no one can see her."

This is no doubt a direct result of the mad feminism project. Girls start to believe that they should act like boys because society now tells them that they are no different to men. So swearing, aggression, fights, binge drinking, one-night stands, etc. all become seen as the norm. All the 'bad' qualities of men have been adopted by the girls because the most important thing in this society is to maintain the idea that "we're all equal, all the same".

I've noticed it since I've been in Sweden. Before I came here, I had this image of the Swedish girl (I was clearly very ignorant and naive) as soft, gentle, polite, courteous and naturally beautiful. How wrong I was. How often I have seen groups of Swedish girls standing on street corners, clad in their leather jackets, plastered in make-up, smoking, spitting - generally looking quite intimidating.

So much for girls being the 'fairer sex'.

Maybe I am missing something here, because I do not get this. This fellow, Ali is giving equality workshops, and notes that women are not as violent as men, but a "negative" trend is noticed. Who determines that this trend is "negative"? IF THE GOAL IS EQUALITY, then shouldn't girls have the same opportunity to express violent behavior as boys? Why deny girls something that boys get to have?

I noticed that too. For a gender expert, Alán Ali seems to have a dodgy concept of equality.

Neither boys, nor girls, have a right to adopt "violence and threats". Alán seems to be saying it's OK for boys to be violent, but not OK for girls. That doesn't sound very equal at all.

It would be far better form of equality if Alán focused on helping boys to be less violent. To discover their feminine side so to speak. And girls to express their issues more vocally, instead of psychological harassment and self-harming. To express their masculine side so to speak.

The concept that men and women are different, and that we have much to learn from and to offer each other, is heresy to gender experts.

The only Swedish thing about the people Mr Ali deals with, in fact, the only Swedish thing about mr. Ali himself is his passport. This violence-problem is as Swedish as Taimour Abdulwahab. But by generalising like this, the heavily subsidised Multi-Culti Church can be sure that the problems will continue to not adressed. Winning!

Oh really? .. Well, with your logic in mind the whole US or Mexico are totally over-feminsed nations considering how many many violent female gangmembers or even whole gangs consisting of only female gangmembers there are there(!) ..

Equality doesn't however give anyone the rights to behave badly, being male or female. This is rather a social issue of inequality that has been increasing in the society. If you'd do a background check of the female offenders you'd notice they mostly come from the poorer areas, where also the bad behaving boys live.

People that live in the same areas also in large extent share the same attitudes and values, whether they are good or bad. And poorer areas has historically always been prone to be more violent and still is as of today, just take a look in the world around you. It has nothing to do with equality but rather with INEQUALITY in the society. I'll laugh the day I read on a tabloid that reads.. "Princess Victoria bashed her kitchen staff with a stick at the castle!" LOL .. Come on..

Right... this is most certainly a case of using the word "Swedish" in the loosest sense possible of course.

"destructive masculine ideals" ==> pretty sexist concept of what "masculine ideals" are, associating masculinity with violence.

I do not know about Sweden but in the USA ethnic germanic females are the least likely to be physically or verbally aggressive. The violent females in the USA are usually ethnically celtic females. Due to miscegenation between celts and germanic people in the USA a lot of females who have germanic surnames are very aggressive. Aggressive genes of celtic people are the dominant genes in the USA.
