Horsemeat lasagne sent to Stockholm's homeless

Several tonnes of frozen lasagne pulled from store shelves in Sweden because it contained horsemeat will be donated to Stockholm's homeless population by Swedish food retailer Axfood.

"Many have reacted that huge amounts of edible food would be thrown away," Axfood said in a statement.
"But it wasn't clear that it would be possible to give it away."
Now Sweden's National Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) has given the project the green light, telling Axfood it has no objections to the company donating the lasagne.
The only condition, according to the agency is that it be "removed from its packaging and that there is an accurate list of ingredients available where the product is distributed".
The first deliveries of the horsemeat lasagne are expected to arrive at St. Clara church on Friday, March 22nd. The church distributes food to the homeless daily at Sergels torg square in central Stockholm.
Back in February, Axfood was one of several Swedish food retailers who opted to withdraw frozen single-portion lasagne from stores after horsemeat was found in lasagne produced by Findus.

we already have a two-tiered society. We have those people who work hard every day and buy there own food, and we have those people who are too lazy and sit around waiting for someone to give them food. If the lazy ones want to eat something better, let them work and buy it for themselves. If not, let them eat horses and monkeys and garbage and things that normal people wont touch.

Manufacturers such as Findus, and Ikea... who else was involved in this globally? Burger King... there should be a list created... all of these companies are guilty of purchasing such low grades of meat that they have no control over the content... what if it's not horse, but beef that is really really old, or bits of cow brain and offal and tails and cr*p that is ground up really fine and added to the little good meat?
My point is that all of these producers are guilty of misrepresenting their meat. They and any others should be blacklisted and boycotted until they are out of business. I hope anyone continuing to consume Ikea meatballs (imagine what's in their korvs!) or Findus tv dinners or BK whoppers enjoys them because likelihood is they're STILL cutting costs on their meat, and that is the point.
