Police have arrested two 25 year-old men on suspicion of involvement in the murder of a man found on a street in the Hisingen area of Gothenburg on Thursday.

The dead man's body was found early on Thursay morning on Ångpannegatan, a street notorious for violent crime and the home of several criminal gangs. Police were unwilling to confirm reports that the body had been severely burned.

Two men suspected of harbouring a suspected criminal have been released.

Police confirmed that some of the suspects are known to be members of criminal gangs.

The two men have been remanded in custody, and a remand hearing will be held on Sunday. The men are suspected of murder, with an alternative charge of complicity to murder.
