Anna Anka: Stirring debate? What debate?

It seems Paul Anka exploits illegal immigrant labor. He might be well advised to inform his wife, Sweden’s neo-numero-uno woman-most-loved-to-be-hated, Anna Anka, that she should probably keep that under wraps.

kajsa anka

I had actually tried to not blog about Mrs. Duck (Anka means duck in Swedish and Donald Duck’s name in Sweden is Kalle Anka and Daisy Duck is Kajsa Anka.)

But with all the attention she’s getting from her outspoken views published in an article on Newsmill (in Swedish only sorry) and her role on the reality TV show Swedish Hollywood Wives (also only in Swedish) there’s too much talk on the town to ignore her totally.

So what’s the hype? Yeah, that’s my question too. Here’s a few of her controversial statements:

“[In the US] it’s the illegal Mexicans who do the work. They do the dishes, clean the house, take care of the garden. I have an enormous garden and four gardeners.”

“Swedish dads are tragic with all their nappy-changing and equality. A real American man panics if he is alone with a child for more than 20 minutes. American dads do not prepare dinner and do not iron, they work and provide for their families.”

“Sexually it is the woman’s responsibility to ensure that the man is satisfied, if she does not then she only has herself to blame if he is unfaithful,”

“[In the US] mothers don’t nag their daughters about education and going to college, but instead that [the daughters] should find an athlete or a celebrity. Isn’t that wonderful?”

I can’t fathom how people can take any of that seriously. This is entertainment and comedy, but not debate.

And amazingly, for some inexplicable reason, it’s somehow become part of a political debate here in Sweden. But I am still wondering…HOW? What is the debate to debate?

There was a talk segment on the radio yesterday (My lovely SAAB suffers from that all-too-common malady of a busted digital display so I have no clue which station it was) about Anna Anka and the “Debate around her” and I had to agree with 2 of the 3 guests that there ISN’T anything to debate here.

And so the debate (whatever there is to debate, and I love a good debate so please tell me what to debate) goes on.

I wonder if anyone is checking on her employees for their papers now?  Imagine, they might just have to pay minimum wage soon.

Which is 8 bucks per hour in California. I hope they can afford it.illegal mexican

I predict rehab in the near future for Anna Åberg.

    Some key info re: Anna:

    (1) She’s Polish.

    (2) She was arrested in 2008 for attacking Paul Anka.

    (3) She appears to be confused.

Further key info: equality between the genders in a marriage works. It’s sort of a “don’t knock it until you’ve tried it” scenario. Who would want to be married to someone who is in a subordinate role? How boring would that be?

    @Gus.
She’s ethnically Polish, but having been adopted at 3 years old and brought up your whole life in Sweden…You’re Swedish. Crikey, listen to that accent she’s got. She’s also been previously married and her older child is a product of that marriage. But again, that’s tabloid entertainment. What’s the debate? I’d love it if they got their work staff investigated. After all, that’s one of the biggest debates in the US today, the flow of illegal immigration. If there are employers there will be illegals willing to work.

    @Jennifer.
I can’t even be talked into being upset. No one in their right mind could take her seriously about anything she’s said about Swedes or Americans.

Anna Anka is just another swedish “bimbo”, who after having spent only 15 years in USA thinks she “knows it all”. She better behave herself, if Paul Anka should smarten up and divorce her, she may be left with nothing much to live on. Should he die a number of years before her ,(which is very likely, given the age difference of 30 years) she may also be left with nothing. After all, he was married for many years, and has five children before the one he has by Anna.
Anita Ekberg started the “bimbo emigration” from Sweden, followed by Britt Ekland, and a number of others after that.
She is lucky Paul Anka wanted to have a “trophy wife”, since she is not very attractive, nor does she sound very bright. Swearing at the gardener, is an example of that. If she had listened to him, instead of swearing at him, she might just have learned something. She better take good care of Paul,I don’t think there are too many men waiting for her in the wings.

I take offense at your equating Anna Åberg with Ekberg and Ekland. Both Ekberg and Ekland were passable actors and decent human beings. Never pick on Mary Goodnight on a Swedish website!

And Blatte, you have been here long enough to know the score. If Åberg was making us proud, she’d be Swedish. Since she is an embarrassment, she is Polish.

Well, AA has some things to say and I must say, she had her time in the light. Political debate??? no..actually I sit with my mates and laugh every monday night at this swedish bimbo that produces prejudices to the swedish and american people. Since I enjoy equality and sharing the household job with taking care of the kids, as well as sharing the gardening and the car mending also I love our careers.. She had hers and it is gone.. I live and is riding on the wave…! I hope Anna is happy… because people deserve to be.

  10. ANONYMOUS says:

Poor Paul!! What an embarassment to have a wife like that. She is truly pathetic! She should go back to her maiden name
so as to not continue to embarass Paul Anka and the entire Anka family. Anna Yeager should keep her un-educated, dim-witted, shallow comments to herself, and have respect for her husband, his reputation, and his successful career.
This woman is obviously unstable. After 3 months of marriage,
she split her husband<s head open with a chunk of ice. This is a problematic female. This kind of behaviour is not condusive to longevity in a marriage. Plus her rant in Sweden
about that society.Sweden has one of the finest societies in the world with an excellent health care system, excellent education standards and a healthy liberal outlook on the world.
Anna is obviously just a *girly girl* who wants to be taken care of by her man….old, traditional conservative standards
relieving her of getting out and getting a job and a real life. I was appauled that she thinks its *wonderful* for an American mother to encourage her daughters to find a rich athlete or celebrity, like she did. How shallow is that???
And that discouraging a daughter to attend college or university is OK……Anna Yeager, you are truly a twit!
How much education do you have? Obviously not much for you to be doing and saying what you are doing and saying!
You are obviously a GOLDDIGGER of unimagineable proportions.
You can<t be very aware of what is really going on in the world in terms of realities that are facing the human race,
because you are caught up in your little pseudo-celebrity lifestyle. You have no real talent except how to rope a rich
and successful man. Mr. Anka<s first wife never caused Paul any kind of embarrassment throughout their 37 years of marriage….Anne Anka did him and herself proud by raising 5 beautiful daughters in a dignified manner…always intelligent and always keeping out of the showbiz tabloid rags, unlike you. I hope Paul leaves his fortune to his 5 daughters and his son. He is a pretty smart guy, and I hope he safeguards his hard-earned estate from his GOLDDIGGING wife.
Look at what Paul McCartney s ex-wife did to him? After 3 years of marriage to the richest man in the entertainment industry ($1.5 billion), she walked away with $50 million US.
    Pretty good Heather Mills.
So Mr. Paul Anka, please BEWARE! Your wife could clean you out financially if you are not careful (and if you did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement). It would be a shame if you lost everything after 50 years (half a century)of hard work
as an entertainer, to a golddigging opportunist.
It s amazing what men will do for sex!!!!

PS Paul, keep the ice bucket under lock and key….she is likely to have another bad, emotionally-unstable day, likely sooner than later.
Her mug shot was not pretty at all. Hopefully, the next mug shot will be an improvement!

    from:

A sympathetic friend to Paul, and all other hard-working successful men in this world. Gentlemen, BEWARE and BE CAUTIOUS!!!! Never lose your head for .

I can<t believe how unintelligent this chick is.
What was Paul Anka thinking? I know what he was looking at when he met her, though.
Given her comments….she is clearly pretentious, superficial
    and not bright at all.
She has an extremely low level of consciousness in terms of what is real on the planet. Sounds like she is living in a fantasy world, isolated by the glory and glamour of a spoiled Hollywood wife. When they met, she was Paul Anka s
physical trainer. Yes, she *trained* him alright.
Just another tall, dumb blonde from LA with huge tits!!

What is a matter with you all? Anna Anka has a big scence of humour (and speaks a lot better english then me! She is not unintelligent and Paul is childish right now. Children are involved; hopefully they will get along better soon.

  15. Eric says:

Her maiden name was Anna Åberg. She is the type of girl that speaks before she thinks. Her strongest talent is not stringent logic or “on location” intellectual reasoning. She has a very free speech, and an unusual combination of high self esteem and personal insecurities. She openly let people know how she feels about a subject, and her opinions. She is also very open to other peoples opinions and experiences.

I don’t think the marriage is one of convenience as it might appear. They both have qualities that enhance each other when brought together. It looks like she has been very good with her children.
