Can still see the look of shock replaced by the look of Thor and thunder on Mr. Mankell’s ansikte (face) on that day. A day he’ll always remember. The day when he drove to the air port to collect (the parcel containing) his precious manuscripts and other personal belongings.

Verily, Mr. Mankell must be one of those who has suffered the most among the ragtag Swedes who manned “The 1st Flotilla”
I saw the exhibition of Blake’s art at the Tate in October 1971 – mention it now as I think of the visage of Mankella and somehow that awful shock of wise man’s hair , same hue as Blake’s Adam’s) yet , I still can’t imagine it and if you are normal it should also be a little difficult to imagine it – in reality – our somewhat avuncular Mr. Mankell as an armed robber or as one hell of a guy who in a sufficiently desperate situation could ( just possibly – desperation being the mother of madness ) takes out a handgun to hands up an official IDF naval inspector-of-goods who had boarded a vessel of
well within Israeli waters…….
All of the above, is predicated on the assumption that the Mankells and crew have exhausted legal possibilities by engaging some of these sort of definitions and the arguments in this document :
