No really. Of course, strange attire has now become a part of the danceband culture and most of the modern bands probable doesn't even know that that was the original reason behind the funny attire. Or maybe they do. Either way the example has been used in describing what bizarre effects tax regulations has on life in this country. Either way, who ever came up with these type of clothes first has a marvelous sense of humour and I approve! Oh, and I'm Swedish myself.
